>>107504072It's a clean break from the abortion that is RDNA3, that chip was designed before features like DLSS2, path tracing, and ML-accelerated frame generation were publicly revealed. They even abandoned the FSR4 branding to give it FSR Upscaling a clean break away from the DogShitDNA2 & 3 chips.I told people not to spend too much on RDNA3 cards last year because their hardware limitations could restrict new feature compatibility.

This is my current system since mid-2019. What are the odds I have enough of a power budget to run a 3090 or 4090 in my system, even if it is undervolted? Or will I be forced into buying something like a 5070 or 5070 Ti instead? This PC wasn't built with anything more powerful than a Vega 64/FE in mind, though I have another identical 750W PSU to bear.https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/8rGrzP
>>107504144My RTX card doesn't even need to boost past the advertised clock speeds for most of the games I play.
>>107504211You need 850w to utilize the 5000 series for headroom.
>>1075042114090 should work. it even undervolts down to low 300s pretty easily at minimal performance cost. but its a really fast gpu that would even get bottlenecked on a 5700x3d so you won't get the most out of it with a 3700x
I upgraded my GPU but now I need to upgrade my PSU too because the fan keeps spinning due to the GPU power draw and it annoys me
>>107504243What did you upgrade to and from?
Guys, what is an AIO suppose to sound like? i have no comparison since this is my first build. All i know If I run games my fans do get louder but idk if that should be of any concern.Aio fans spins at 2900 rpm and other fans at 1200-1500.
>>107504265im using an nzxt kraken and use their software to keep the fans and pump at a constant rpm
help me out brosI had a 2x8GB kit of DDR4 and I bought another kit of 2x8GB, so I could run 32GB in quad channel. I have verified that all my dimm slots and the sticks themselves work fine, however, it just won't post with all four installed. I thought at first the issue was that my 1st gen ryzen has a weak IMC, but I recently just upgraded to the 5000 series and it still doesn't work. The two kits are electrically the same, at least according to the spec sheet- it's just that one of them is after hyperx got rebranded to Kingston. Here's the serial numbers: KF432C16BBK2/16 and HX432C16FB3K2/16 Should I just accept that the sticks won't work together for whatever reason, or could it be my motherboard? I feel like a B450 with a 5000 series Ryzen should be able to handle quad channel at 2400mhz. The only difference in the spec sheet that I can see is that on one version the heatsink is listed as 0.01mm taller. I cleared my cmos as well, no luck. The only thing I haven't done is update my BIOS but I'm not sure if that'd even help. any help at all is appreciated bros
>>107504239Kinda figured, and using adapters to daisy chain two PSU's together so that you have one PSU separately dedicated to a GPU and the other for the rest of the system seems finicky to me.
>>107504265AIOs sound like jet engines. Just lower the max rpm or % allowed. I set mine at 70% max speed cause any higher it literally is so loud it drowns out the sound from my headphones.
>>107504265Keep the pump fast and fans low. if your fans go over 1000 rpm you have made a mistake
>>107504242>so you won't get the most out of it with a 3700xI skipped out on a 5700X3D last year sadly so my only option will be a 5900XT or some other 5000 series chip at this rate. My main usecase however is Blender Cycles rendering w/ OptiX and running SDXL. So I imagined it would matter less in those situations.
>>107504257From 1080 Ti to 5070 Ti, I have a 750W psu

>>107504304The 5700x3d is still being sold wtf are you on about?

>>107504387man who the fuck keeps overclocking the prices
So Redstone? What's the verdict?
>>107504420great day for 9070 owners
How am I supposed to figure out what fan is what? My case has 3 fans intake and 3 fans for the AIO so I'm not exactly sure what system fan 1-6 are and how cpu fan/pump fan relate to the 3 fans on the AIO. I also have no idea what EZ-Connect Fan is. I tried setting some of the fans to 0 rpm to help figure out what's what but none of the fans ever come to a complete stop
So wait, FSR4 is dead? Why rename it? Why are they like this?
Arguably on-topic but does anon know what to look for in deals for Mini-PCs?My grandma wants one, and there are dozens of Chinese brands, but she's extremely paranoid about getting hacked and won't accept a Chinese brand, so I was looking at barebones ASUS NUCs atm. >>107504479Bullshit. I looked at actual stock in warehouses not listings on some fraudulent store.
I have a ryzen 9950x3D and 6400 Mt/s RAM sticks. Is it worth trying to make the CPU run with 6400 Mt/s, or should I just underclock to 6000? by worth I mean is the performance difference actually relevant, because I'd rather have a stable system than 1 FPS more in some bottleneck scenarios. I ran a few stress tests with the stock 2:1 setting with 6400 and also 1:1 with 6400. both settings were unstable. underclocking to 6000 was stable. I guess to make 6400 work I'd have to fine tune all kinds of timings and clocks. so again, is it worth it? alternatively, does anyone have working presets for the same setup, so that I have at least a baseline where to begin?

>>107504503NVIDIA always wanted to pivot to enterprise & data center markets, that's why they developed CUDA in the 2000s and invested so much into AI/ML in the early 2010s.They didn't even give a shit about what ATI/AMD Radeon did.
>>107504510its better to clock it down to 6000cl30 or 6200cl30 for stability. not all 9800x3ds are created equal and some top out at 6000mhz while others can do 6600mhz gear1

>>107504510If 1:1 mode is unstable at 1.45v vdd and 1.25v vsoc at 6400 then sorry to say your imc is a dud and cant handle 6400 1:1. No amount of tweaking will get it to accept 6400. 6200 1:1 with fclk at 2/3 mclk (2066 at 6200) would be the next best to go for but again its marginal over 6000 so up to you.

>>107506587the m.2 will need those heatsinks put them on if you don't want 90C when your nvme drives are downloading anything
>>107506634MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFINot sure how good this is, but even just the cpu and ram are more expensive seperate than this bundle
>>107506648No one is forcing people to buy GeForce or Radeon, or other GPUs R&D'd in the free markets. This is a hobby, not a necessity.>repost them with the same images every single threadThere is no argument; it's a fact Radeon wanted to charge more for their RX 9000 cards.>now tell me how much are you enyoying your 24gb vram super card VRAM is not a silver bullet to your dogshit GPU, the costliest component of a card. And yes, people with RTX cards enable RT.
>>107506587Which board is it? I think there a black pad that's supposed to be a support below the m.2 drive, not between the drive and the plate. Tho i think it's more foamy, rather than a thermal pad. I might be wrong
Installing win 10 LTSCIoT or non Iot version?
>AIDA64 fails consistently on EXPO, EXPO II and EXPO Tweaked>passes fine on stockIs it the RAM that's fucked or could it be something else?
>>107506737you can install the non ltsc iot version in your prefered langauge and activate and change the edition to iot with the the tool in /fwt/
>>107504605tell that to /vr/ lol
>>107506778ram could be too good for your cpu/motherboard
>>107506788It's a patriot 6k/cl30 kit with a 9800x3d and a b850-plus. should be a good fit. I have a corsair kit too, just wondering if it could be something else before I swap the RAM
>>107506779Sorry my bad
>>107506796what kit
>>107506710Yea that black foam square goes below the m.2 but the metal plate on top has a thermal pad under it that's supposed to contact the m.2
Am I limited to LCDs if I want a 25' or smaller monitor? Every OLED that I find is 27' or bigger.
It's gonna get to the point where upscaling and frame gen both need to be on to get graphics that aren't a messand the graphics are still gonna be bad
How big are the performance gains going from DDR4 to DDR5? I boughted a 2x16 6000 kit months earlier, but don't know if performance gain is significant enough to upgrade to AM5 MOBO + CPU (7600) or sell it and get a new SSD + 5800x.
>>107506464When what i said happens are RDN4 gets proved to be garbage ( should be around early 2027) rememer that post
>>107506809i think it activates non ltsc iot version automatically to ltsc iot
>>107506867its a matter of performance, cant make huge silicon slabs at tsmc 3nm for everyone so the software solutions scale betterI played E33 and it didnt have HDR and when game studios cant even be arsed to implement that shit what can you expect really.
>>107506872also forgot to mention that my current RAM is 2x16 2666
>>107506865>27" oleds 26.5" effective size>can't handle 1.5" larger size>can't place the screen 3" further back to get the same effective size>can't buy asus 27" (or 32") to get dual mode 24" croppedimaginary problems
>>107506821what corsair kit? also a 6k/cl30 one. maybe my patriot kit is faulty or something before I open the corsair kit.I just set my cpu offset to -30 and running default timings on the ram and so far it's stable so I don't see what else it could be
>>107506912ok, I will stick to LCDs, thanks.
>>107506872I went from 3600 to 7500f on my editing machine. Honestly felt no difference. Tho i only edit on 1080p, so it might be too lightweight. That and I'm running on stock speed
>>107506893It's unbelievable how even some Sony PlayStation Studio games have terrible native HDR implementations.
>>107506925sounds bad
Is there a way I can test for GPU artifacts?I just bought a 9070xt and I haven't been testing it much, but on linux I already experienced weird fucking screen artifacts. This is all happening on idle. I still have wangblows in a different drive I can use for testing this shit before I return it.
>Me when I really thought RT, upscaling, frame gen, etc, were all just memes>Redstone and focus on pt with next playstation
>>107506872like some other anon mentioned, you dont "gain" from going dd4>ddr5 but from having access to newer cpu architectures
>>107507001terrible would be a improvement over none at all where the games cutscenes look like color banded shit on oledat least nvidia offers rtx hdr to make these games playable
>>107507056>>107507056>>107507056>>107507084>rtx hdrNot worth the performance penalty.
>>107506557I was just wondering if this was still something people did, time to see if I can even take the shroud off or find a splitter
>>107507101You can remove the shroud without much effort on that model. No need to remove heat sink or anything like that. You can find videos on jewtube or posts on forums. For splitter or adapter search for "4 pin micro gpu", or if you want to go full ghetto harvest the cable/plug from the old fans.
