I hate to say it, but Gnome+flatpak is pretty much idiot proof Linux now, the only issues are apps that are stuck in the Windows prison due to DRM or Anti-cheat. A Linux reviewer said that the hardest part of installing it was what button to press at the bios to get to the boot menu and not the actual installer itself.

Yes we make fun of Gnome a lot on /g/ but I've just realized that I've been subconsciously installing Gnome based distros like Fedora and just going with the defaults without thinking.

It's designed for people who only use terminal emulators and a web browser. You use it primarily through keyboard shortcuts that you have to memorize..
