What is the definitive game controller?
xbox 360 controllerideally with the usb cable
>>107525250Whatever works for you.
>>107525250Real Chads use a joystick, which is much better for all kinds of simulators and other action games. It only falls short in fighting games.
>>107525293>falls short in fighting gamesWut
>>107525250original dualshocks ps1/ps2/ps3nintendo is for child molesters tranniesxbox is for mutts and mexicans
>>107525250My peanus weanus of course :D
>>107525301>fighting gamesa classic joystick is not an arcade stick pad thing.
>>107525267>cable
>>107525267this, with the switch pro as a close second
>>1075252503d party such as 8bitdo and Gamesir are amazing. Even $15 ones work better than 1st party. The only good thing in 1st party is adaptive triggers in Dualsense.>>107525267based>>107525326>original dualshocks ps1/ps2/ps3madman with tiny hands
>>107525267>xbox 360 controller>ideally with the usb cableyou really brought back the memories.
Third party manufacturers have surpassed first party.
>>107525250da 1 that u luv da most in ur hart :)
>>107526701I bought my girlfriend gamesaar for 10 bucks. It has a bit worse plastic than my 1 gen xbobx elite but overall it's pretty much the same. It comes with a dongle and has hall effect sticks. My elite started drifting about a year ago.
>>107526789Yeah it's unreal, the others will have to adapt or start selling the console without controllers and cut the price.Because currently they are offering a terrible deal for the price and it's a matter of time until more people realize this.
>>107525250The ps4 controller. Why? Because its dualshock layout allows it to be the pefect jack of all trades controller. And that is what you really need>You cant play fighting games competitively with a xbox controller, but you can adequately play everything with a ps4 controller>Its Sixxaxxis capabilities allows you to even play Wii games, and its touchpad can be used for mouse desktop work>Easy to dissasemble>better ergonomics and less prone to stick drift compared to ps5 controller>Has ps3 and ps5 compatibility>Sturdy enough>Its bluetooth connection is pretty goodThe only downside might be the battery, but its a nothing burger
>>1075252501. Gulikit ES Pro2. Gamesir Tegeneria Lite
>>107526801I would understand if xbox gamepad was the same cost even without magnetic sticks. Or had more features like dualsense with adaptive triggers. But at $60 it soesn't make any sense to get that for a PC. I bought 8bitdo ultimate for like 30 dollars instead of a new xbox controller.
The problem with these third party jeet controllers is that the buttons are always loud as shit. my old 360 controller has nice soft buttons that barely make a sound. The third world versions are just CLACKCLAKCLAKCLACK
>>107526873I don't have 360 controller on hand, but xbox oxe and elite 1 are louder than 8bitdo ultimate
>>107525250Only the Xbox controller has the A and B buttons listed from left to right, and X and Y from left to right.Nintendo has the buttons reversed, B and A and Y and X which makes zero sense. It's backwards.Sony PlayStation doesn't even user letters, but uses nigger hieroglyphics instead.Obviously Xbox is the superior controller for Aryan Chads.
>>107526840Same, western peripheral manufacturers are done.Applies for mice and keyboards as well.
i can tell you a thing or two about what isnt the definitive game controllernew design may be good though
>>107525250The best one is the one with available spec so that I can code my own driver for it for my OS written in HareHonestly Hare is perfect for writing OSes, just see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wQ7pl7DVHw
>>107525250Alpakka 2.0
>>107525267>>107525250xbox conroller is more ergo for the left thumbbut prefer ps5 gameswhy is it like this
Whichever one feels best in your hand.
>>107525250I can't deal with the D-Pad / Left thumbstick layout on playstation controllers.
>>107525250No such thing, everyone's hands are different, and not every game is best for every controller. Personally I use a Dualshock 4 for 2D platformers and JRPGs, an Xbox controller for 3D platformers and racing games, and M+KB for everything else. Kinda want to get a racing wheel, but don't feel like buying one without going all in and getting a full racing sim setup
>>107525250Doesn't exist since every controller has a d-pad connected by a single piece of plastic even when it looks separate.
>>107525250ps5 controller is the best if it works. Unfortunately it has terrible QA and either it arrives already broken or it will break within a year or two.
>>107525293>a joystick >not two joysticks ngmi
unironically
>>107525250ds4, it's not even close
>>107525250Xbox One (without the normie share button) controller for me. Also, that pictured Xbox controller looks filthy.
>>107525250I got an 8bitdo ultimate 2 on a flash sale last year for like $40. It's a sick controller and I pretty much never use my PS5 controller anymore. Tmr sticks and shoulder buttons and super solid calibration and customization options. As far as the 1st party goes: PS5 > Xbox 360 > ps4 > xbone original > xbone pro.
>>107532510i'm hopeful, but worried those buttons need >60g to push down, which makes it useless.
>>107532548pussy
>>107532553just not some speedfreak that squeezes the controller like my life depends on it.
>>107532561i think they are going to reuse as much as possible from the steam deck
>>107526925>that imagesorry graphicartistbros, maybe AI imagegen aint so badLLMs still sus tho
8bitdo
>>107525250Not even joking
>>107525250for general use the 8bitdo ultimate 2but the dualsense touchpad and haptic triggers are excellent for specific use cases
>>107535028>Mini USBGet out.
keyboard+mouse
>>107525250dualshock 4why dualshock 4 over dualsense or xsx controllers?the shapethe shape means your fingers lie angled over the bumpers and triggers rather than flat, resulting in concentrated mass and a quicker responsei only learned this during my sekiro playthrough after switching mid-way through and never went back to anything else, dualsense is a flat downgrade, xbox controllers past the 360 are the worst for this due to their bumpers being clicky, requiring more force to actuate, especially when your fingers lie flati made an illustration to show what happens
>>107530443retard spotted
>>107536089Based Illustrator Anon, you may not have talent but you do have passion and vision.
>>107532548I'm more worried about the d-pad being trash, it definitely is on the deck.
>>107526925>Nintendo has the buttons reversed, B and A and Y and X which makes zero sense. It's backwards.Shit pisses me off. They do that to annoy those who use emulators.
>>107527080I have the classic steam controller and I honestly really like it. It took awhile to learn how valve intended it to be used but once I figured it out I was blown away with how good it is. I expect v2 to be even better. Hopefully they allow it to function in an xinput mode because half my shit isn't in steam
This shit was peak
I'm happy with my XSX controller and the 360 controller that was before it If you need the absolute BEST competitive sweat gamepad in this era you need to buy something with Hall Effect and Gyros like a Gamesir or something
>>107536954even when you add the games to your steam library manually?I haven't tested it too much with non-steam games, and when I did, it was mouse and keyboard emulation rather than xinput, obviously that works quite well
>>107537024Ain't that pretty much less ergonomic xbox controller?
>>107528817Yet the right side is completely fine, even though you are most likely going between the stick and buttons constantly in most games?
>>107537120More ergonomic
>>107530443Ayy
>>107525250I like Xbox because it works seamlessly with windows and my console, HOWEVER it's missing gyro so steam controller all the way
>>107525267lmao zoomers are so mindrotten they're experiencing nostalgia for one of the worst controllers of all time.
>>107537491Xbox style controllers haven't changed much since 360
>>107537547The change from 360 to One was huge
>>107535048I gotchu bro
>>107537491The 360 dpad really did suck ass
>>107537714and it felt like shit in the hand too not even taking into account the awkward battery enclosure in the middle. Garbage garbage design.
>>107525267I got one of these in great condition from a store for $20. Feels like I stole it.The only issue I have with it is the D-Pad is awful but I also don't play fighting games. >>107525326Favorite controllers among little baby men
>>107526806ever since Linus brought up that the side grips feel like little PVC pipes I can't unsee it.
>>107537621>replace sturdy, solid connection for flimsy weak piece of shitno
>>107536954>>107527080how do you deal with the missing second analogue stick and the weird positioning of the facebuttons?i never got used to that and i can't wait for the new model
I like my Razer but the design collects sweat and makes it smell.
>>107526806>Sturdy enoughFeels like a cheap piece of shit in the hands
>>107526789Their naming fucking sucks but they make some really good controllers. Got this for about 16 bucks and its fantastic
I like the dualsense the most, it's the most comfortable. But it's a pain outside of games that don't support it or non-steam games.
>>107538011>razeryou're so right
>>107537032It takes six years minimum for a modern (v5+) dualsense to start drifting. Gamesaar and 8bitdoos marketers are lying.
>>107538149Ds4windows. Just leave that shit running.
>>107538058>GaymesaarIt only costs 20 beer vouchers? I'll give it a try.
>>107525250XBox. Has seamless integration with all games. If you care about wireless audio, it's the only one that works when paired with the XBox dongle.
>come home white man
>>107525250I like the DualSense but why the fuck don't games use Playstation prompts unless it's connected via USB?I also have an Xbone with the dongle if I want to pipe audio to it to play with headphones (all Bluetooth buds have shit latency).>>107532510I am cautiously optimistic.
>>107525250I got sick and tired of dogshit hardware of big name controllers and got myself a Vader 4 pro. It's significantly better than any first party controllers I've ever used. It's got hall sensors on all sticks and triggers, adjustible stick stiffness, zero deadzone, a gyro that can map to right stick or mouse, and a whole bunch of extra buttons that can map to keyboard. The only downside is that Windows doesn't support gyro so games can't use one natively, it HAS to be mapped to mouse or stick, but it does works.
>>107538202I remember owning that piece of shit for VR gaming purposes in 2014, well before VR was a serious product. The wired nature of that thing makes it suck dick, the tracking accuracy is atrocious (they literally couldn't care any less about calibrating the damn thing because they didn't even make a calibration tool), the sticks are mediocre and symmetrical face button placement makes half of them hard to use, and there were no grip buttons. They handle like first gen Vive wands except somehow much much worse. But I guess it's OK if the whole extent of your usage of these is just replacing some buttons with wagglan on normal flatscreen PC games (since none of them actually support it), if you ignore the fact that you're actively making the controls worse for a stupid gimmick.
>>107526701There was NEVER a time in gaming history when first party controllers offered better product at a lower cost than third party controllers - going all the way back to Atari2600. The whole reason anyone even cares to buy first party controllers is the "ew a cheap knockoff" effect.
>>107537937If you ever tried playing CoD on mobile you know that a physical left stick and a trackpad instead of right stick is the right combination. Which is to say, you don't need the right stick altogether.
I play one thousand hours of Monster Hunter Tri with one of these motherfuckers. That game only has like 250 hours of content (I got 3 characters to Alatreon and dicked around online endlessly). It's so goddamned light and comfortable. Nothing else has ever come close. I wish it were easier to use nowadays. I imagine I'd have to get some kind of USB/wii extension port adapter.
>>107525250I use a TMR stick modded DualSense + charging dock + DS4Windows. Can't recommend that combo highly enough if you need just one gaming controller that's all around good.
>>107537937I don't, I use the XBONE pad if I need a second analog stickif you've got mouse-like aiming in a game however (like gta v for example), the touchpad + gyro work really well for aimingdoesn't work well with all gameswhich is exactly why it is important to have an XBONE pad to supplement thatand the buttons are poorly positioned, yes
>>107525250
>>107541080Imagine paying for the controller and then also for the stick swap. Just buy a Flydigi or Gulikit controller outright.
>>107541445I did the mod myself though, took like 40 minutes, never worked on a DS before either. Uses same sticks as Gulikit and cost like 15 bucks.
>>107541449Fair enough then I guess. Still probably overpriced.
>>107541453I really like the shape of the DualSense though.
Sony makes good quiet controllers but my 8bito pro 3 mogs it in every other metric. I wish they made a clone Sony controller I hate the ps5 look desu but at the time it was cheaper than the PS4 controllers. All work out the box on Linux so I'm happy
>>107537024Sega used Hall effect for that and the Dreamcast.
>>107525250a keyboard and a mouse
>>107525250The only problem is the lack of cable
>>107525250steam controller 2
>>107526789>>107537032>Hall EffectMaybe for triggers but for sticks, TMR is much better, hall effect sticks are usually even lower resolution then stock. >>107538268Vanilla DualSense sticks feel poo though, most first party controller sticks do. Try aftermarket TMR sticks with some nice silicon grease smeared inside, you could fidget those sticks just for pleasure from how good it feels.
>>107525250Playstation with swapped D-pad and left analog stick.
>>107525250playstation obviously
>>107542419>>Hall Effect>Maybe for triggers but for sticks, TMR is much better, hall effect sticks are usually even lower resolution then stock.Resolution don't matter that much. Range does. But regular Hall is only on the bottom tyre like 11 dollar controllers. $25(lol) and up all have TMR.>>107538268>It takes six years minimum for a modern (v5+) dualsense to start drifting. Gamesaar and 8bitdoos marketers are lying.Don't know about Dualsense and what the hell is modern dualsense. But Xbox drift after 2 or so years.
>>107538268Alps potentiometers used in all first party controllers are rated for 2 million cycles, which translates to drift in 400 hours or less depending on how stick-heavy the games you're playing are. None of them are designed to last.>Gamesaar and 8bitdoosDon't care. 8Bitdo uses Hallpi TMRs, Gamesir uses K-Silver. Spend a dollar on sticks and install them in your first party of choice, then never think about it again.
Are all hall effect controllers loud?Would like something quiet for my pets
>>107525267el basadÃsimo
>>107537491the worst controllers are all of the N64 ones, 1st party and 3rd party, the NES Lego plate, and many more before the OG Xbox and Xbox360, my dear childyou have yet to experience gaming, but you may over time and years, and when you are old enough to drink, you can join LAN parties and such
>>107542981fucking kek
>>107525250Xbox has a premium feel while PS5 has far more functionality. Gyro, a mic, the touchpad, morebindable buttons... Its not the best on the market obviously as third party non triple a controllers on the market have been made with far better quality and functionality, but its imo one of the best bangs for you buck. At least with what I know right now. I would pick the PS5 controller over the Xbox controller any day.
>>107543033I'm sorry I care about my animals at nightThis is why people buy Playstation controllers
You people are still playing in 2D. How quaint!
>>107526925does not matter since you dont ever look at the controller while playing
>>107543095>not an index controllerbruhhh
>>107543119Grandpa, we Frame now!
>>107539815Strapping one of them to your 3dof headset for a 6dof upgrade was mad aura though
>>107525250the one that offers different sizes and different weights for sticks and buttons.nintendo sticks are a vacation for my thumbs compared to a dualshock.
>>107537024I would kill for a version of this with a second stick, I'd never use anything else. The fags over at Retro Bit got the license to make a new "pro" Saturn pad but they just slapped some tiny Joy-Con sticks on the bottom of the 2D pad, those fuckers had one job and they blew it
>>107525250There are only three correct options. Dualshock 2, Xbox 360, SEGA Saturn. Anything else is wrong, gay, and for niggers
>>107543795How's the Therapy going Jeremy?
>>107525250Picrel is ideal for me
>>107542212This thing looks neat, and is inexpensive. I wonder if it's any good?
>>107543924Sell me on it
>>107538268I have an early model dualsense that has the rubber starting to get sticky that still doesn't drift.I'm convinced it actually is retards not taking care of their shit
>>107526806basedds4 for everything and all platformswish they released a usb-c version toward the end of the ps4 lifespan but i'm nitpicking, still the god controller
>>107544303I did a USB-C mod on mine. I know it's a little rough, didn't have tiny files. Still like the DualSense more though.
>>107544303>wish they released a usb-c version toward the end of the ps4 lifespan but i'm nitpickingWanna know the saddest part? The fucking charging port is on its own PCB, it would've been the easiest possible change since it would've involved minimal retooling, and its clearly possible since a mod exists
>>107532510Depends on the D-Pad. If it’s a pile of shit like the Decks then fuck this gay shit
>>107544350>>107544303yeah i did a usb c mod on mine as well, note that it does prevent you from connecting it to a ps4 again, learned this the hard way. (you might be able to connect it with bluetooth but you wont be able to turn it on through the wired connection) Otherwise it does work great
>>107544595>note that it does prevent you from connecting it to a ps4 againYou can do a 1:1 USB 2.0 based USB-C conversion, using the data pins too. The micro soldering drove me up the wall since I had shit tools at the time too, just moved.
>>107525250The steam controller 2026
>>107525996Yes a cable. Why would you want to add any input latency? Are you dumb?
>>107525250Dualshock 4, you would think it's too small, but it's perfect size unlike xbox360 controller.Maybe they made DS5 better(not sure what I would improve), but it's 33% more expensive so I will never know until Steam Controller comes out.Like the ring and pinky finger wraps around the controller grips perfectly. The 8bitdo ultimate 12c Is a bit worse to hold than ds4.
>>107545466there's a hard edge on the grips on 8bitdo ultimate 12c so when your figers wrap around thefingertips rest on the hard edge
>>107525250DualShock 3
>>107545492Oh fuck no, that's so ass. Easily some of the worst triggers ever.
>>107525445>a classic joystick is not an arcade stick pad thing.
>>107544303Well, is there a microUSB to Type C cable out there? Im sure it probably exists.
I've been using a wired Xbox controller since 2015, and although I still enjoy it, the problem is the huge ass cable. It's thick, heavy and gets annoying when jerking it. Should I just get the newest wireless Xbox ones? I heard something about Hall effect triggers but not sure. Price is no point btw.
>>107547304The wireless xbox controllers can use bluetooth but that adds latency which is observable.A wireless dongle exists but it overheats easily after two hours of gaming making the controller lose connection. The best for wireless gaming on pc is to choose from 8bitdo.
>>107525250Steam Controller
>>107547363>8bitdoThe problem is the shape. I find the Xbox shape perfect for my hands. I don't wanna experiment with something else
>>107547498It's really similiar
>>107547944It's the same but smaller but from what I read the new xbox controllers are also small. The shape does not annoy me, all I want is quality and a reasonable price.
>>1075450692.4ghz doesn't add much latency but adds confort>>107547304It's good, but it will drigt over time. Third party won't. Look ae 8bitdo ultimate or Gamesir G7/SuperNova/cyclone2.>>107547363>A wireless dongle exists but it overheats easily after two hours of gaming making the controller lose connection.Old longer one doesn't>>107547960I just compared them. 8bitdo is a bit smaller. I haven't noticed it before. I think you can only notice it when you compare them directly.
>>107525250The playstation sticks are better positioned at the center, but the x360 controller is more comfortable to use.Personally unless you play only on playstation, on PC the only controller that works in all games is the xbox one.
>>107547290I bought like five of these. I'm never buying a micro usb cable again. There are mini USB versions available as well.
>>107548627Usb type B adapters are really handy as well. A lot of music gear still uses them
>>107525293Controllers have two joysticks m8
>>107525250>What is the definitive game controller?a keyboard and a mouse
>>107525250I've bought three Xbox Series X controllers because they all just work for everything I need. Pricey but they're worth it IMO. I've had mixed luck with third party. Either they aren't all compatible or feel like shit after some time.
>>107545069Modern wireless controllers have the same latency as cabled controllers, and in some cases even lower.
PowerA
Is there any controllers that have shoulder buttons like PS2 but usb wired?
>>107545069>he doesn't know
>>107549239>>107549307>they fell for the marketing
>>107526925You are mentally handicapped if you can't play without looking at the controller.
>>107544062For me the appeal is simple, it's the best execution of a modernized Saturn-style controller that I've seen. I would have preferred retro-bit's take on the dual analog Saturn controller kept their original concept (see pic), but unfortunately they decided to go for shitty joycon-style sticks instead. I guess I understand their logic, they thought it'd preserve the shape better if they used smaller sticks, but personally I'd prefer to change the shape up a little bit if it meant having proper analog sticks.
>>107549353cable is faster than speed of light
>>107525250I prefer the analog stick position on the dualsense or whatever it's called, especially while I'm playing souls-likes because it lets me switch items without taking my thumb off the analog stick
>>107550678Are you doing it with your finger?
>>107550693yeah
the one at >>>/v/
>>107525250>>107525267I replaced my (wired) 360 controller whose RB button had died with the series controller, the right stick has been drifting from day one it's very annoying especially in souls games.
>>107550951Have you tried calibrating it?
>>107525250Xbone and PS4 are both great.I use Xbox for Microsoft games and PS4 for Sony games, whichever for the rest, literally a coin toss.>>107530443I used to have one and immediately gifted it to a friend, ugly as fuck and the least ergonomic one I've ever held. The fucking Steam controller is more ergonomic than this shit.>>107547395I have it but it's stupid for games that do support a controller, it's useful only for games that do require a mouse.
Not an opinion, really a question: Is the Elves 2 Pro good? I like the look & it comes with a carry case (and Hall effect sticks)
>>107553068>>107544048Elves 2 Pro has a weaker processor and Bluetooth chip than the Elves 2 non-Pro despite costing almost twice as much, so unless you specifically need the Pro features (iirc, macro recording and disabling d-pad diagonals) I don't see a reason to recommend Pro over regular. That aside, afaik the other hardware in the two is the same and Elves 2 d-pad is perfection. Saturn d-pad with a big pivot and conductive rubber with springiness about halfway between Dualsense and Nintendo; not too mushy, not too . Sticks are ok, but small hall effects probably aren't ideal for anything that needs precision. For QC issues my d-pad squeaks and the R2 button rattles, neither impacts function. If you want a good d-pad, it's an easy recommend. It's pretty small and comes with a form-fitting plastic case, so it's a good pocket controller if you have any use case for portability.
>>107525250Now that controllers with Hall Effect analog sticks have been around for a few years now, do they actually live up to the hype?Do they actually have zero stick drift even after several years of usage?
>>107534595that dpad is amazing
>>107553942The contactless sensors will never wear down, so it's impossible to experience what's traditionally considered drift with them. It's possible for the centering mechanism to wear down, so in theory the stick may get loose and have 10-20% centering error after a point. My experience thus far has been they'll last thousands of hours and something else will break on the controller before the sticks ever have an issue.
>>107525250I was lucky enough to be at the right place and right time to acquire an official stadia controller with the official bluetooth enabled firmware for use as a general controller through bluetooth. I have two, I don't use the bluetooth option often because it was experimental and buggy. It's a primitive controller even by its time but it's a shame Google shut down stadia, I liked their service
>>107542314Sega was always ahead of the game, their only problem was being too far ahead
>>107553942See >>107542419
>>107526789Almost perfect. The motorized face button changer is a retarded gimmick and should be micro switches like all the other buttons. It should have a layer/fn switch like their nova. (Should be able to change profiles on the controller itself or like a function key enable secondary inputs)Add a second set of bumper/shoulder buttons. I think I'm just describing a symmetrical version of their flagship controller. Personally I would pay more for those functions and better fit and finish. Look at the popular $120 controllers.>>107526806The battery is a joke. I used a ds4 exclusively for years and the short battery life was a constant annoyance.
playstation controllers are for asian manlets and the sticks are in the wrong spot
>>107554303>Should be able to change profiles on the controller itselfM + right stick up/down>or like a function key enable secondary inputsyou can set a button for this and configure the shift layer itself in Gamesir's software, Tarantula was their first controller with that feature
>>107554361>t. I support Microsoft as a proud American patriot
>>107554371This is the fn/shift layer button to bind in their software btw, since it isn't labeled at all
>>107554437>in their softwareWhy do all the Chinese controller have such horrid software... Borderline Razer crap.
>>107554449My only complaint with GameSir Connect has been that editing stick curves is a pain, since you have to manually drag each point instead of typing coordinates and there's no way to zoom in.Flydigi software spawns some icky always-on background processes that does give me "borderline Razer crap" vibes, every other brand I've used has had straight-up nonfunctional software if any at all.
>>107554411>2 yuan has been deposited to your account
>>107554508Nah, I just thought your post was funny.
>>107554449>Borderline Razer crap.Kek
>>107553814What about 8BitDo SN30 Pro?I'm mostly buying this for gaming on a laptop, so the flatter the better
>>107554586I wasn't a fan of its d-pad, and the sticks had problematic amounts of snapback plus eventual drift. Hall effect revision hopefully has better sticks at least, but it's the exact controller I got Elves 2 to replace.
>>107554661Fair, fair.I just read about the Elves 2 (non-Pro) having 700-800Hz Bluetooth polling so that seals it.
Latest Xbox controller because of the metal dome d-pads. The latest 8bitdo controller also has metal dome d-pads but they aren't as good. I don't know how people play with rubber domes, there's no feedback when you try to use diagonals.
Clicky face buttons, or pressure sensitive face buttons?
>>107554702>I don't know how people play with rubber domesThen they have shitty rubber domes, I like stiff rubber domes more then squishy or clicky.
>>107554727Does anything after DS3 even support pressure sensitive face buttons?
I just learned that you can easily convert/repair Xbox Series controller pots sticks to TMR, I mean as easily as desoldering is, because it's a drop-in replacement. No more drift ever, unfortunately the resolution remains kinda the same as that depends on the microcontroller of the controller itself. But it's good to know, I wonder if you can replace 360 joysticks with TMR as well...Either way I've been looking for a new controller and holy shit the 8bitdo ultimate 2 looks really fucking tempting. Fair price, TMR sticks and Hall triggers, almost completely customazible and remappable (some say you need 8bitdos software while others say it can be done from the controller itself but either way it's a nice feature as the profiles are supposedly saved onboard). I'd say, without having tested either mind you, that it's a close match between the Gamesire G7 Pro and 8Bitdo Ultimate 2
>>107554371>>107554437The manual only indicates M+right stick rotation as changing led colors. There's no shift layer setting in the software.
It's the gamesir g7 pro, unironically.
>>107554449The gamesir connect software is perty good, and the settings are saved within the controller itself so the software is only used for setting it up. Otherwise there's nothing else running. The documentation is the doodoo part.
>>107554727The only time you need pressure sensitive face buttons over clicky ones is if the game is designed around pressure sensitivity, like racing games or Metal Gear Solid 3. Otherwise, clicky all the way.
>>107555484Gamesir has got to be the worst name choice for a brand, ever. Even without the India memes, it's just so stiff and clunky. What does "gamesir" even mean?
>>107556103It's Chinese. Something about a rooster running the coop. I'm sure it sounds cool in mandarin. They have good stuff if you can get past your English cultural sensibilities.
>>107554303I like 8bitdo pro 2 as sorta dualshok 4 snes hybrid.>>107556103It is cheasy. But whatever. Dualsense is a stupid name as well.
>use PS5 controller for PC>miss using Xbox controller so buy one>after barely any use, the right analog stick started drifting upWelp, back to PS5 .
>>107556424>useThere's your problem. We only argue about this shit, we don't actually use them.
>>107555484Shall I get this one or the Vader Pro 5??
>>107537491>"Guy! Aren't i so cool for my contrain take on the frog forum? Holy heckerino! i hope i farm some (you)s!"
