Is there a good open source version of something like google keep or sticky notes?
You're wondering if a open source version of a.... note app.... exists?
>>107529173Nope. All notes apps suck. Apple Notes is the only one that's remotely good.I wish it were different.
>>107529173use vim / nvim / emacs / notepad / notepad++ or whatever text editor you use. but i have to admit you cant sync to your mobile. it werks for me coz i dont use my mobile much.
>>107529173I use joplin and that works for me. But note apps all have different sets of features, you are gonna have to look around. If what you want is just to store text then anything will go.
>>107529173Joplin is decent. The only downside I noticed in 5 years of usage is that notes with a bunch of markdown tables takes a couple of seconds to open.I can live with that though, never had other problems.
tried this?https://github.com/tasks/tasks
>>107530082>joplinThis.Cross platform: Windows, Mac (intel & arm), LinuxSync to local target or Dropbox, S3, OnedriveEnd-to-end encryption so your notes are an opaque blob on Onedrive / DropboxMobile too: Apple phones & android phonesNotes written in Markdown if you want to go fancy, but can also just scribble notes.
if you cant keep your notes in a text file you are not trying hard enough
If you have to weite down things in orderr to remember then, you need to be psychologically and medically examined.
>>107529173Not really so I just use onenote lol
>>107529173I use Orgro, a text editor that runs using Emacs' org-mode. There's a version of Emacs available on F-droid, but it's too cumbersome to use without a keyboard. Orgro creates org files and has shortcuts for like lists and italics and shit. Once a week, I sync them up with my PC using Syncthing-Fork to back them up and organize them a little better if I feel I need to. Other anons have recommended Joplin, and that works just fine as well, but I personally prefer Orgro.
I self host thishttps://github.com/enchant97/note-mark
Joplin is clunky as fuck.I switched to obsidian but self host sync seems to be stupidly complicated for some reason.
This: https://github.com/usememos/memosAlso has an Android app. https://github.com/mudkipme/MoeMemosAndroid
>>107529173Just make your own
just save your note as draft
Maybe you could use Obsidian with some sort of sync, like the official one or Koofr.
