Previous Gear, Sony XM4 I think they are fantastic, they have lasted me for a long time, the sound quality is good and I like the ANC whenever I game and listen to Music
What I am looking for, since my PC is a few feet away and I cannot use wired, I am looking for Wireless, I focus more on Single Player games and honestly with my XM4 on Bluetooth I don't notice latency, or maybe there is but I haven't "heard" it, but I want to boost my gaming audio experience.
Open or Closed back? Closed I want a decent ANC when there is sound or any construction nearby and just focus on my game, as for profile I would like a balance of bass and sharp sounds for both dialogue and OST, I have been eyeing the XM6 since they must be way better than the XM4... right?

XM6 build quality is honestly suspect (better than the XM5 at least, not as good as the 4 though) so I'd honestly just re-buy another pay of XM4's if you really like what they're bringing.

Momentum 4 probably a good alternative if you really want something different, but I think Sonys in general are more comfortable.

I think it's more of a joke about comfort, the Z1R has an infamous 10k treble peak which is worse than a lot of those cans in the picture.
It's more that aside from that, the Z1R is well known for being comfortable and easy for long listening sessions, while audiophile fags will last less than a hour with the most uncomfortable shit to listen to 'true' audio

Try the PEQdb one, Sharur's a meme but at the minimum I think the target curve he set sounds less exhausting than the Harman one, and blows the Crinacle curve out by a lot.
Might also depend on how you've adjusted to cans or what their base tuning is - I don't EQ my cans other than my 650s.

Chinks managed to copy the headband properly so you can get it on Ali for 4$ but unfortunately not the earpads so this still is going to be 39$. Although if they are not completely fucked you can stretch them back to the original shape with a hairdryer a few times before the foam totally disintegrates.

I bought a pair of hercules djmonitor 32 for $2 but I'm having an issue of them starting to rhythmically "thump" when they've been on for a while, ONLY when the two speakers are wired to each other. is this a fixable issue? like can I just glue a strip of metal to an overheating chip as a makeshift heatsink? I'm gonna try replacing the speaker wires first because the metal is literally green inside but I don't expect it to work.

NTA but if your volume isn't ultra high, your mic won't pick it up. But of course it also depends on your mic, your headphones, volume, etc. My standup mic doesn't need to be up against my mouth like you see streamers do so there's no way it will pick up my audio. Although it will pick up my keyboard lmao.

there are some very niche use cases where open backs can have some sense over speakers but most of the time they don't imo, the fact that the hifi headphone market is 90% open backs has always been quite retarded to me.
