If there was a functioning screen-sharing alternative that didn't require my normie friends to do esoteric stuff I'd ditch it. I only use it for that single purpose while having some other VoIP solution open at the same time.

Oh and they also look at every program that is running on your computer and log which games you play and how much. If you choose to opt out then they'll still collect data on who you talk to, they just won't show it to you. Software doesn't have to be issued by the KGB to be considered spyware, anon. The "your data = my data" mindset is enough to be of a concern to your privacy. The concern should only scale from there proportionally to the amount of data that they get. And Discord gets a lot of data
