It's hard to choose between 27" 4K and 32" 4K
There's a lot more options at 27" 4K

Ok so now thanks to DDR5 retardation, DDR4 prices just doubled and it's not over, and I can't find a 5700X3D or 5800X3D under 350 bucks, and no way I'm paying those prices for oldass CPUs.

I'm thinking about buying a 40 something inch tv or monitor as my side monitor, I'll then retire my 2011 monitor.
Move my newer AOC monitor to the side as a vertical.
using oled as my main, the TV as a side, and a vertical as a browsing aid.

What are my choices for the dedicated media one on the left.
I'm thinking no need for anything over 120 frames.
response time is whatever also, I don't really plan on gaming on it, don't want something expensive, and since I plan on just letting youtube sit on this monitor, no OLED too

If you cover her mouth, she looks like a chicken

Yeah blower hits throttle way too fast, hence the louder fan to compensate. It's a cool concept, but only works on isolated airflow like how modern PSU are set

You really should have gotten 1x 1TB for OS+important drivers, and 2x 4TB's for games + storage separately. Otherwise, aside from all the asus products, great choices. NZXT are a great brand but im in love with TRYX's aesthetics atm and wish i had gotten one of theirs over my trusty arctic freezer III 360.

It really depends on how much you want those fans
if your goal is low spinning damn near silent fans still moving a boatload of air go for it
the FLOW version doesn't come with the bracket to use regular fans on the front though, have to get the other model that comes with no fans, which sucks

the x50 is cute but that price with ZERO fans is a bit of a slap in the face

At this point I'd pick Meshify 3 over a North

A friend of mine has had a PC with i7-11700k, 32GB DDR4 and RTX 3070 for about 4 years now, and he only ever plays games in a 768p window, on a 60Hz 1080p monitor, and caps them to 30 FPS because "he can't tell the difference" between 30 and 60+.
I think he has unintentionally future proofed himself for a decade by playing like this.
Hell, Halo Infinite was what made him upgrade from his old i7 4790k and GTX 760 Ti PC to this one, because it was the first game he was unable to play at 768p30 on that.
I wish I could be like that. Just have low enough standards that would allow me to drag my PC along for many years. For me, 60 FPS at settings which don't ruin the game's artstyle (e.g. disabling Lumen in a UE5 game) is the bare minimum.

In pic related the performance is basically the same but in the Wukong benchmark I get around 120fps with HAGS on and 60-75fps when off, stress tests also only show a few % GPU usage when HAGS is off specifically aida64 and occt.

I'm thinking in getting an actual GPU before the prices hikes, I've been relying mostly on my vega 8 in a CPU Ryzen 7 5700g and honestly I didn't want to spend too much money on a GPU but the clock is tickling and Warhammer doesn't run well with vega 8

so, do you guys think the RTX 5050 will increase it price next year? and if it is worth it at all, for what I've see online even an RTX 3050 6gb would be a big upgrade compared to my humble VEGA 8 but I fear that the RTX 30 Series ended up without supporting one day and I ended up being forced to buy 'the new thing"

Also, is the RTX 5050 better than the RTX 3060 because the RTX 3060 has way more vram but not sure

See I have the opposite problem, I wish I bought an old HAF or full tower that I could make my cozy home that is easy to work with and has lots of capacity. But I now have to sell off the HAF 932 I was prospectively looking to build in because it was fucked by cigarette tar. I was gonna 3d print so much shit for it and put wheels on it.

32" is much better for 4k than 27". Pixel density is already very high and you will run into UI problems with older games and applications, problems that are ONLY EVEN WORSE on just 27" to the point of total unusability. I "suffer" 4k on 32" since 2016. If you want a 27" for some reason, get one with 2k resolution. I own both and I never felt the desire to have 4k on my 27".

Thanks, I know Im definitely getting at least 1000W.
I'm very torn -- I look at the HSP Hydro TI 1000W, but apparently everyone says the cables are very stiff + I dont like the idea of 12V-2x6 (Id rather 2x6+2 Pin per other anons)

I looked at Corsair HX1200i (2025) but apparently its a lottery whether you get one that 'clicks' while low usage/idle ... otherwise its overkill but the cables do look nice

and Seasonic candidates are also overkill/super priced or I missed the Woot boat with that Prime 1200 the past week. Fuck.

Super Flower is off the table, Ive never heard of them and I heard support is terrible.
be Quiet scares me of tons of "pop" and explode situations when they get their first boot and filling the capacitors.

Fuck me I am overthinking this.

what's the point of the SATA ports on my mb? it looks like i'm just running a cable from one section of my motherboard to another
>>
>>107541501
I can afford it I just want the best 1000W that has nice cables and lasts fucking forever and doesn't have any clicks/whines.
10 years ago there weren't these many PSUs on the market with 2 different ATX standards (3.0+3.1+3.0 that are technically 3.1 but use different headers(?))
>>

>>
Should I get 1tb of ram?
>>
>>107541486
I own several beQuiet PSUs and never had issues except for an outdated fuse failing in my home's power supply because the capacitors of the PSU sucked in all power at once when I switched on my Dark Power Pro 11.
The same happens when I switch on industrial vacuum cleaners or other high power tools.
An inrush current limiter solved the problem.

It's borderline mandatory to get Anime to look good on a 27 inch 1440p monitor. 1080p and 4k have it much better for media consumption due to easy 1:1/2:1/1:2 scaling, but 27 inch 1440p is just such a sweet spot for gaming it's hard to pass.
