Manufacturers have pivoted towards supplying enterprise customers who show up with mile long orders for server-grade DDR and HBM VRAM for their AI chips. And I don't think Samsung or Hynix or any of them want to risk increasing production either in case the demand dries up by the time new manufacturing capacity is ready, so we're stuck with not enough supply and too much demand.
