I have an ancient kindle from more than 10 years ago.
It can't even browse the internet without crashing.

What's your favorite ereader? Books are outdated.
>>
The one you already got.

I had an old Kindle and I saw the newest Paperwhite was on sale. Plus Amazon gave me a credit because I had the old Kindle on my account.

NTA but my Nova Air 2 is fine. Not as much as traditional e-readers mind you but you really don't need more than a weeks worth of charge out of it.
>>
Do they tend to support that thingie with PDFs where you can like, readjust margins/ zoom/whatever and shit which make them actually readable on smaller screens? It's what I've been doing while reading on my phone, been thinking about buying a Kobo or a used Kindle but half of that shit i'm on is pdf only...
>>
>>107542935
I'd like a BOOX Palma.

Koreader

I'm in the market for one, mainly read novels, tech books and manga, occasionally some coloured comics. Is the Libra Colour worth the 200 or should I cheap out and get a B&W one and read coloured content on a normal screen?

I know next to nothing about this stuff
>>
Note Air 5C could have been perfect with volume buttons to flip pages, Android 15 and all the positives of its predecessors but you may as well wait for next year's model so that they can fix the design flaws and software issues.
>>
>>107546826
7" is too small for manga and tech books anyway and colors don't offer much for novels so the color filter would mainly drag you down.
Get a b&w 6" or 7" to understand the tech better and later consider getting a 10-13" color model.

>Books are outdated.

Yep, and that includes downloading PDFs to a black and white tablet that hasn't changed since 1995.

I present to you pic rel. Works on any phone, completely free, and can create personalized, custom tailored novels in the top 0.1% of all writing in terms of quality.

Depends on the reader software. The default readers on Kindle and Kobo are poor at handling pdfs. On Kobo you can generally install Koreader while Kindle is limited by jailbreaks etc. Other readers that let you install Android applications are also available.
But nowadays the price difference between 10" and the smaller readers has become neglectible. You can get a Kindle Scribe or Boox Go 10.3 for well under $400 while the 7" models are exceeding $200. 7.8"/8" are disappearing completely.
>>
>>107546826
Color e-ink never seems to live up to the hype. For that price but black and white you can go get the biggest screen options there are which is going to be far more pleasant for manga and if that's something you think you'll read a lot of with it get the biggest one you can. Color seems like one of those things that's stuck with not enough people buying in to keep improving the tech which continues to keep people away from buying in as it's not good enough to justify the price.
>>
>>107546913
Would you say that 10 is the sweet spot? I usually like to read on commutes that why I read on my phone, but as you pointed out, the small screen is a turn off and I usually have to zoom. Is 10 inches portable enough?
>>
>>107547025
Yeah from what I've gathered even the colour saturation is usually not enough to grant a good coloured reading experience. What 10 inches model would you go with if you had to buy your first ereader? Budget is not really a concern, around 200 is fine, what I'd like is good implementations with things like nextcloud and at least some comfortable storage to have offline content.
>>
>>107542530
Whats so good about KOReader?
I own an Elipsa 2 and yeah the standard reading app sucks when it comes to bigger epubs like programming books, it takes 10-30sec just to flip the page....

Does koreader fix this or is it all the same?
>>
>>107542498
>Books are outdated.
You're retarded.
