>the year is 2014.>5" 16:9 OLED display>no notch or rounded corners>battery fucked? or dissatisfied with the capacity? just buy a new one. it's on amazon for like $25. it'll show up at your house by tomorrow or maybe the end of the day today and you can replace it with just your fingernail, no screws or disassembly needed>run out of space? just get a bigger microSD card lmao. no need to get a whole new phone or sign up to store your files in someone else's computer for $50/mo. >wanna use headphones? sure, you can either use the built in headphone jack or go with Bluetooth headphones, whichever you prefer :)>lost your remote? that's fine, there's a built-in IR blaster>$249 maxwe used to have it all
the old samsung galaxies were so kino. old phones in general just had better design and didn't feel like they were designed to cater to mouthbreathing retards.
And it was so insecure if you browsed porn once your phone was remotely rooted and used as a relay for a Russian botnet. Phones prior to The 2019 or something were virus filled trash.
>>107546743me when I lie
>>107546796It's not even a lie. There were web browser based roots like Towelroot. Idk about the other stuff though
>>107546805there's no way you could accidentally root your phone and you're significantly over exaggerating the risk of any kind of virus or malicious attack even back then. I watched porn on my S4 all the time and nothing happened. you're not gonna gaslight me into believing the apple bullshit that we had to sacrifice microSD cards and headphone jacks and ir blasters and replaceable batteries for the sharehol— I mean, er, security. now please store all of your personal data on our server farms and pay us monthly for the privilege please :^)nope. no.
You used to be able to install apps from literally anywhere without needing anybody's approval too. Thank God Google is doing away with that in Android, that's way too much freedom for so many people to have.
>>107546848>there's no way you could accidentally root your phoneWhatever Samsung flagship released in 2017 was the first phone that prevented this. It still had Microsd and a headphone jack so you are just retarded.
>>107546713>just get a bigger microSD card lmaoWrong, you still couldn't install (most) apps on it.Internal storage size was crucial back then.

>>107547644>bro if you used a cellphone before %currentgeneration you had a 101% chance of catching a virus!!!1>don't believe me? here's the Wikipedia page for one (1) virus that existed before %currentyear
>>107547483>It still had Microsd and a headphone jack so you are just retarded.???I'm the one that said there was no reason to get rid of that stuff. are you replying to the right post? or did you read it wrong?
>>107547562>Wrong, you still couldn't install (most) apps on it.Didn't matter then, doesn't matter now. Apps themselves are tiny, the data they accumulate is what gets you. You could move that stuff over without moving the program itself. The Photos app, for example, which only weighed maybe 2MB, would have to stay on the device, but the dozens of gigabytes worth of photos and videos it contained could be moved to the SD card. Same with music and other files.
