I used to use it as a Plex server, for 5 year, but it was too slow to play and often struggled just to play 1080p h265 video. So I upgraded my Plex server to a mini PC with a Ryzen 5700G. I use that same mini PC for network storage and as a seedbox.

But now what do I do with my rpi4? I would hate to drawer it and have it go to waste. It's so power efficient and there has to be something useful that I could do with it. I already have an emulation machine. I already have a router.

These things are for robotics or home automation, using them as servers is a total waste.

My home server already serves this function, and it's not so critical that I need a backup server. If it goes down, I'll just do some work to get it back up.
