>In recent years, technological development of nuclear fusion power generation, also known as the "energy of dreams," has been accelerating both domestically and internationally.>In Japan, the industry is excited by the arrival of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who has been promoting the development. The government has set an ambitious goal of "demonstrating power generation in the 2030s."mainichi.jp/articles/20251114/k00/00m/020/299000c
demonstrating power generation in the 30's =/= stable nuclear fusion by 2030
they're rapidly trying to get into all the hot tech. Japan is actually decades behind on a lot of shit. They're also making a scramble for crypto suddenly, SBI buying up a lot of XRP and pushing for it to be integrated with their national banking system asap.Won't help them, because they'll be a chinese colony within the century if they don't fix the birthrate which Takaichi so far has shown little interest in doing, just doubling down on nationalism and cultural traditionalism while openly acknowledging something has to be done immediately. They're already struggling to compete in all their normal markets and maintain their status as a viable nation, so its kind of funny watching them continuously self harm.Their only salvation at this point is to try and whip up an ultra nationalist frenzy, but they no longer have the military bite to do that in any meaningful way and never will with their average age the way it is.Japan and South Korea are basically public test cases as to what happens when you have a small, but efficient workforce generating an advanced economy that you whip beyond reason and refuse to assist them with family planning and benefits.
>>107549479hopefully they wont let an israeli security company install nukes in it like fukushima
>>107551059>they're rapidly trying to get into all the hot tech. Japan is actually decades behind on a lot of shit. They're ahead in a lot of industrial sectors. Machinery and chemicals/advanced materials was nearly 30% of their exports in 2023. Not including cars, electronics, gas, or any other common goods and commodities.
>>107551180How is % of exports an indicator of leading performance? It just means that they aren't producing/exporting much else.India is the largest exporter of generic medicine. Does that mean that they're ahead than the rest of the world in pharmacy?
>>107549479That's nice but can they kill the brown flood?
Not happening.
>>107549479Will this or blaming foreigners finally fix their shit economy, shit currency and the demographic crisis?
>>107551736>India is the largest exporter of generic medicine. Does that mean that they're ahead than the rest of the world in pharmacy? If you define being good at pharmacy as being good at cost optimising medicine synthesis, then yes.
>>107552351That's not what I asked. I asked whether they're ahead of the world (like you claimed Japan is), not whether they're good at it.
