You can never convince me "high end audio" is anything but a scam and buyer's cope Audio is a solved technology. What can $800 headphones do that $200 ones can't? Not to mention how much an amp and dac would cost for higher end headphones. This is a much worse problem with speakers too, people will spend thousands for a whole speaker system when they could've just bought much cheaper components and have 95% of the experience for 20% of the cost.
Supposedly with more expensive headphones/earbuds or speakers you don't have to use an equalizer to adjust it to sound good.
Congratulations froggy, it's a simple truth that somehow still escapes a legion of senile retards with too much disposable income
>>107550694I fully agree anon.
>>107550694The cheapest headphones I own still have good sound quality. It only makes a difference if you're a pretentious faggot

>>107550694>is anything but a scamFor a given value of scam.I'll accept there are those that truly cannot hear the difference.>>107550741>The cheapest headphones I own still have good sound quality. My last set was JVC HA-FX1X... Cost me a tenner. Smashed shit like beats. Lasted a decade+ before physical abuse did the cable in... Replacement cost £20 by then, so I got a few...Went through a few more in rapid succession, all abuse it's unreasonable to expect a cable to withstand, so relucantly went wireless... Even worse, spuked up £250 on some Cambridge Audio Melomania P100SE's. They *are* decent. Is there £230 more sound quality... not really. But they're still working. Tho that's a consequence of the lacking wires, more than the cost - we can get that cheaper. The battery in 'em ... five day slog of on @ 7am and off me head somewhere near 6-9pm took the battery down to 65%. Cheapo's don't offer that.

>>107550694analog signals can benefit from better cabling etc. because it directly affects the output. The oldtimers were right for their old hardware. It just became obsolete with digital signalling because the noise doesn't impact a digital signal much unless it gets really bad to the point it overshadows the digital signal. That aside the only real reason i see to pay high prices is if you want something like mahagony audio speaker boxes.
It's funny there have been rejects like OP half-assed "trying" to convince people that there is ZERO difference in audio quality no matter what, all audio reproduction is the same no matter how you do it, for like 20 years. Who pays for this? Is it just Eglin or whatever? Why would they spread such retarded tranny disinfo? Yet here we are, another half-assed driveby thread where OP makes a retarded claim then bails. It has to be Eglin. Eglin-sisters, explain yourselves. I know you little women are always lurking here. >>107550710this is not true. expensive speaker systems come with a calibration mic and software. also every iem needs eq, it's just physics
