Most who get into nursing do so because they care about the wellbeing of others, and the healthcare sector is fully aware this so they're always trying to take advantag of it for the sake of cost cutting. eg.
>hiring an inadequate number of staff because they know you'll work harder to cover the shortfall, pushing nurse:patient ratios ever higher
>rampant wage theft by the way of nurses working tons of unpaid overtime
>hiring immigrants or the underqualified in order to suppress wages, because nurses value their job satisfaction and will just work harder to pick up the slack
/g/ complains about Pajeets flooding the tech industry and being mostly terrible at their jobs, but it's more or less the same that's occuring with hospitals and nursing home staffing (alternatively, the ones that get a visa but can't afford a bridging course or who don't have any relevant qualifications often become unqualified carers).

There's too many people in the world. Plagues and wars were actually good because they kept human value inflation low. Back in the day companies had to scout fresh grads from universities to get fresh talent, the internet had a role in screwing up that too but the point stands. In 30 years the US population went from 249million to 342million. The whole world went from 5.2bn to 8.2bn.
