I've just noticed that Discord simply knew what games I played this year and how many times I launched them, even though I wasn't using their game overlay at all. What are the chances that the developers of Teams and Slack will implement something like this to report to our employers that we're playing games during work hours?
>>107557941what kind of retard doesnt run discord in a web browser?
>>107558012That's not the point.
>>107557941MS Teams is already receiving massive backlash from an actual useful feature that assigns location based on WiFi because they don't understand how it works, so I can't imagine anything like game tracking will make it past more than a whisper.
>>107558054>an actual useful feature that assigns location based on WiFiI'm retarded. Why is this useful?
>>107558077There's always been a "location" setting in Teams where you can pick "home, office #1, #2 etc"The WiFi setting will notice when you're connected to your home network and set this automatically, or in office #1. For hybrid folks, this is great. You don't have to remember to manually set it since most orgs that offer hybrid require you to inform whether you're in office or at home anyway. You could always just manually set it to whatever you want if you're being sneaky for some reason.
>>107558121Also if you don't agree this is useful, that's fine, but my point is people are acting like this is going to give your boss a real-time GPS tracker and he can see if you're working at Starbucks etc. They don't understand wtf it is so they are chimping out. You think "tracks and reports Steam gameplay history to your boss" would ever fly?
>>107558043Paulie, I think it's time to seriously consider salads
>>107557941Use discord on phone only. Boom problem solved.
>>107558984Discord is not the issue, dude.I don't give a crap if discord knows I fap to gigantess feet and play "my little sister has turned into a monkey"Things go to shit the moment Slack and Teams start doing that shit too.
