>Microsoft: Recent Windows updates break VPN access for WSL users
>https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-recent-windows-updates-cause-wsl-networking-issues/
Is any of this really a surprise anymore?
I seem to recall something about them supposedly (re)committing themselves to focusing on stability and performance once again; or so they claim anyway.
I really want to know what the heck they even do anymore because it's certainly not programming that's for damn sure.
the older versions of windows would bsod way more don't get me wrong but it feels like we've traded stability for a different type of instability.
>>
kinda like a good part of all of that is programming and they're discovering they can't fix the shit that doesn't work with ai because ai at one point can't fix it's own shit so you need real programmers but programmers look at all the shit and are like "oh damn gonna take some time" so now you've got shit+fixing the shit

it's all good.Just save whatever you can with windone, leave the ship and wine or virtualisation or whatever. Then in 10 years we'll have to move from linux to whatsoever a privacy skyzo will create and another era will start even more troubled between the skyzos and the non-skyzos all using the cloud and AI
>hey chatgpt can you open the folder dirtyporn
>sorry but your social account has already exhausted all it's credits ,do you wanna buy more credits ?

can't we just destroy Microsoft?

I don't know who I hate more, the baharatis, the israelis, the chinese or Microsoft.
>>
Microsoft is saving my computer experience by forcing wayland to get ass punked by valve. I love Microsoft and promote their actions. I hope the jeet keeps fucking you all up the ass, no love no lube
>>
Don't care. LTSC is for stability, regular is for bleeding edge users.

oh yes woe is the little company known as microsoft incapable of affording even a single tester.
>>
There's no programmers left at microsoft it's all vibe coded and written in react

>can't we just destroy Microsoft?
Anon it's being destroyed by jeets right now.
You don't even have to move a finger.

It works like this.
Jeets come to work open GPT free version.
Jeet type "SAAAAR I NEED OPTIMIZE THIS CODE" literally opens code for task manager and ctrl+c and ctrl+v drops it there.
GPT spew few crap. Jeet copy pastes it into VScode.
Then Jeet press compile and repeats process after 20 minutes jeet goes outside and shit at local street.
Then goes and eats curry.

this. feed them enough rope and they'll hang themselves with it.
>>
>>107563291
yup...
>>
>>107563228
gpt deduces that to close task manager, you use task manager

Man I've been telling people about the shit WSL networking stack for over a year, these shits still didn't fix it.
BRUH, who is still fucking shilling this garbage, and the perf is attrocious.
>>
>>107561582
Explains why I had to reboot my work machine even though I use the mirrored networking stack for WSL2.
>>
>>107561582
So affects only VPN-using WSL users?
So in other words - nobody.
>>
>>107565840
actually, using VPN in WSL is useful for split tunneling, therefore it might be an issue for many users.
>j-just run troonix on bare metal
I am not a tranny

I just don't understand why anyone would willingly use Windows 11.
When it launched, it was an unfinished piece of shit, worse than 8 & 10 at RTM. People meme on Vista but it was nowhere near this bad.
There's whole components of the registry and group policy that are broken, still in windows server.

Add in the broken updates, the hassle of enabling, disabling it and it's too much for too little.
You're trading a whole bunch of good, or stability for russian roulette enshitting updates via AI or jeet. Gaming isn't an excuse anymore, stick with W10 if you need to, spoof, it doesn't matter. If any game or software requires you to use W11: it's not worth it.

Why on earth would you go through the humiliation ritual of having that bloatware on your system? If you want to use WSL too, just use linux, you don't need windows there. I know people who bought nvidia got scammed but come on, wake up and walk away. The updates aren't going to get better.

That is horrifying
