microsoft released Windows 365 Link last year, a business-focused cloud PCin case hardware gets really expensive, and they make a consumer version, would you use it?

>>107564054No kill yourself Rajeesh Currynigger Streetshit Nocode.I won't be using your shitty cut down version of an already cucked LLM either.
no, streaming your desktop experience is insane. And you can get ryzen mini pcs that actually run Windows / Linux well for around the same price / not much more. This device never made sense.
>>107564121>And you can get ryzen mini pcs that actually run Windows / Linux well for around the same pricenot for much longer friend :)
>>107564054If I can help it I'm never buying it using another piece of Microsoft software ever again.
>>107564054You will own nothing and be happy
>>107564054NoI'd rather not have a car than not have a computer
>>107564141I already have a ser8 and ai 395+ mini pc. It's crazy times where buying shit as soon as it comes out is actually the smart move because the price just goes up
>>107564054I could see a market for this in senior citizens computing and people over 50. How is your Audi doing BTW, anon?Got vacancies?
>>107564054Why would I use a Windows Cloud Computer? I'm a Linuxfag.
>>107564054let's see ram capacity hehe
Why would I ever want to do business on the cloud? I'd rather type up a document on a netbook than deal with the headaches of streaming everything.
>>107564095>implying you have a choice
>>107564054It's using a phone CPU isn't it?
>>107564054 Not a chanceI rather break into a computer center and steal a server rack myself than being cucked into child aupport payments.Kill all whores, NOW
I already have 3 computers, why the fuck would i use this even if hardware prices 100x in the next year?
>>107565096I'll keep using linux even after it becomes a crime :)
>>107564054No I would rather just not use the computer and just go outside rather than use this cancerous piece of spyware kiked garbage. Kill yourself for even suggesting this crap to me you demon
>>107564054is it possible to install windows 11 desktop?or linux?
>>107564054No, you dumb fucking idiot. Nobody wants this. You want microsoft telling you what you can and can't do on your computer? Fuck all the way off.
>>107564054Your premise is silly since anyone tech literate is under no pressure to buy that shit.Don't post again until you're an adult.
>>107564054>Windows 365 Link is a dedicated, secure mini-PC for Cloud PCs, featuring an Intel N250 processor, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 64GB UFS storagethis thing is lightning fast, easily enough to run a linux gaming machine
What are the specs, idle draw and IO?Bootloader or BIOS status? RAM?Will I find 100,000 of these on eBay in 1 years time for 30 a pop that I can use as small, low volume servers?
>>107564054lol I actually am using it. its pretty fucking shit. I get that its more secure or some junk, but imagine doing all of your work through remote desktop. all the shit you take for granted like clicking on things, moving the mouse, on hover effects, your screen updating in real time. all of it is slower. not massively, but enough to be annoying and its everything in every interaction. basically companies with old ass computers can pospone upgrading them indefinitely now. microsoft just enables the worst shit.
>>107567560Now let's see how fast it is compared to my web browsing and light gaming laptop. What the fuck are they doing.
>>107564054Absolutely not. I'd reuse my old pile of outdated PCs before I use windows slop again.
>cloud PCBack in my day these things were called thin clients. I hate this tendency of corpos reviving old concepts and giving them a new buzzwordy name. It's a fucking thin client.
So it's just an MS-locked thin client?
>>107567621it's way too powerful to call it a thin client
>>107567631The whole point of thin clients is you only need cheap hardware. What's the use case for this if it has enough power to run things locally but doesn't?
>>107567631is it? half of winblows is written in JS and half of third-party apps are Electron-based, so also written in JS
>>107567639I don't know how it works. Maybe it runs the full OS on the device and loads the user's stuff into RAM from "the cloud"it's way too overpowered to be a regular thin client
>>107564054What's the specs, and can I install Linux on it?
I already have a pc
>>107564054Apple invented $3000 cloud-only computers.
>>107565228this
>>107565096not xhim, but I still use XP SP3 and I can't imagine updooting to anything newer than 7. I would rather rob a boomer out of his old computer than updoot.
