I think it used to be harder but nowadays I can generally just click on an invite link, enter a keyboard smash name and not even properly register as such. Apparently it's called an "unclaimed account" and there's a banner at the top telling me to claim it, but it works for browsing through channels, and probably downloading anything you need.

I downloaded SDL2-devel-2.0.20-VC.zip and put it in a folder and then had my Visual Studio project look for the include and libraries files there.

Not a question but I am just angry. New CPUs apparently don't support real sleep anymore, they just go into "low power idle". Well the battery lasts for like 20+ hours that way so it's not the end of the world practically speaking for me, but the thing is since it doesn't shut down most components anymore, the fan keeps spinning even after the laptop is in "sleep mode" with the lid closed.

Is anyone having the same glitch with the new captcha on Firefox? At first, I thought it was a 4chan XT issue, but it kept happening.
Essentially whenever it says that there's no need to verify, it says "not valid captcha" without allowing you to click next, scroll the captcha or retry.
So, I decided to log out and retry but now it says "Please make sure scripts and cookies aren't blocked before continuing" without allowing to send an email, this is despite cookies being allowed and not having Violent Monkey active. I noticed that it's still able to send an email if you do the captcha quick enough, but the verify link says "link invalid" anyway resulting in another roadblock. I'm currently using Edge to post but I'd much rather use Firefox since it's my preferred browser and I like using addons.

Does anyone know how to fix both the email verify issue and the captcha issue? Are both the result of cloudfare being a bitch?

I'm on Visual Studio and there's a bunch of dll files that I need for my project. But, the program only reads the dlls if it's on Window's PATH.

Putting the dlls next to the executable doesn't work. Putting a relative path on Visual Studio doesn't work. They only work when it's on the PATH. The problem is that I don't want to put them on the PATH.

I think there is a graph for VPN's and torrenting, I think airvpn is a popular vpn for torrenting. And you can set your qbittorrent to only use the vpn network adapter.
It's possible that nord allowed your IP to be traced.

The problem is that I can't use airvpn because the IP is banned everywhere and every site thinks I'm a bot (makes sense), but the bigger issue is that the bandwidth is 30Mbps or something, good enough for youtube, but not usable if you were torrenting a bunch of stuff (because you went with the 3 day VPN) and using youtube.
The best workaround for using your naked IP at the same time is probably a VM (ideally with windows for qbittorrent, maybe WSL2 if you are on windows 11 and you want to try linux?) or a spare PC.

Not quite the same question as the above. I have a VPS with a fairly large provider and I never get even close to my money's worth on the bandwidth. How can I use it to provide copyrighted shit (from torrents) for my friends without getting busted for ToS violations?

the guy on facebook said "Actually looks like one of the drives has pending sectors" but all three smart screenshots of different drives looks exactly the same in regard to "current pending sector count". Though now that I look closer it seems like "off-line uncorrectable sector count" is different.
I am too young to have experienced the hdd era, so I'm just trying to make sure I understand whats happening here. Do I need to? is reading the status alone enough

these are (usually) not bad news but require an action to be taken
the majority of the time i experience those in a form of soft bad sectors as in something somewhere somehow caused the data corruption and the sector data became unreadable
easiest fix is to zero the drive, as in write zeroes to the entire disk space. this fixes the soft bads
of course it might also be a hardware issue but that's something that has to be figured out. i had some headaches with supposedly dying hard drives
