I hate this connector like you wouldn't believe

It always ends up loosening though.

No it doesn't you retard

I don't think that washing machine is a good place for a monitor
>>
>>107568001
Brother you either have to plug it all the way in or your power cable has a problem and needs to be replaced.

Quit buying shitty Chinese cables
>>
>>107568047
Buy a better one, maybe from an industrial or medical supply shop
Stop unplugging it over and over again, these connectors are not made for repeated cycles
Don't live on a fault line, extreme vibrations are going to reduce the cycles by alot
Keep your room a reasonable temperature, plastic rubbers freezing or heating can cause breakdown more easily

Who even buys power cables?
Every /g/entooman should have half a dozen spares just from old dead / discarded equipment.
Thankfully it's one of the few cables that hasn't changed in decades.
>>
>>107568047
it won't if only you stop being a wimp and actually shove it all the way in
>>
>>107568509
Oh, I have a pile of them too. I use them to replace the shitty cables that come with low-cost Chinese laptop bricks.
I had a cheap one fail and it felt thin so I cut it apart... had 18 gauge wire in it or some shit, and the end never connected right even when shoved "all the way in..." It did that same arc thing too, which is why I know exactly what OP is talking about.
It never occurred to be to blame the design, just the chinese for creating such a POS cable in their plant.
>>
the reason why I opt for monitors with barrel DC in
>>
>>107568665
The advantage to those is that the most common monitor failure point (power supply capacitors) are now outside the monitor and easy to replace.
>>
>>107568001
Are you stuck in VGA era?
Monitor uses barrel port these days.
>>
>>107568047
try wrapping some electrical tape around the plug so that your tiny plug pee pee plug fits snug in the monitor socket's blown out pussy.
>>
>>107568001
It's one of the most solid connectors there is. What's wrong with it?
>>
>>107568705
My 2024 monitor has an internal power supply
>>
>>107568001
works on my machine.
never had a problem.
best power connector ever invented
