If you buy used enterprise SAS drives, you can be sure that over their entire lifespan, they were never once shut down and always ran under optimum conditions.I have 8 SAS drives in my server and never once had any issues with them. And even if I had, I'm on redundancy and I still have 3 drives left just in case.
