It's interesting how someone of an open-source project doesn't mention the fact that X is a proprietary centralized platform that goes completely counter to the open-source philosophy.

Really no open-source project should support any X or Microsoft Github garbage.
I hate how open-source is just all corporate drones now.

KDE always seemed to have problem on debian based systems for me. Maybe it's where the 'krashes' meme comes from to begin with.
>>
>>107578866
this is pretty much a known fact
don't use kde on debian
>>
>>107578866
in debian installer LXQT option installs and boots into KDE instead of LXQT

or on any distro really, it krashes everywhere

They're right, KDE on Debian is still 5.27 lmao.
>>
>>107578866
most likely due to it being really old.
>>
>>107578925
5.27 is actually stable, i wish kde stayed with that, it has been a mess since 6, they break it more on every minor release
>>
>>107578926
no, its because they only support rolling releases, because missing even a single patch release means youre missing 100+ bug fixes
>>
>>107578926
they kicked one of the core kde maintainers out of the project a while ago, and then he went to arch
he clearly had a large impact on how kde was handled in debian

True. They also do their best to prevent auditing of algorithm

more like since 4

kde is officially very active on reddit, facebook,vk and linkedin, dont see why X being proprietary would be their issue

Because you don't need to point obvious things, everyone knows what proprietary NVIDIA drivers are and what caused them.

You're only read schizos on /g/, most open source is pro-Wayland. According to telemetry data 70% of KDE users are on Wayland, and among the remaining 30% there are SteamOS users where X11 is the default session and you can't change it.

The post was talking about X.com, not X11, retard.

debian seems to have a problem with its users complaining upstream for bugs that are fixed, just not pushed to debian stable users.
