>want to set up different equalizers for my rear jack and front jack devices>done in 10 mins on linux>4 hours on Windows that consists of setting shit like pic related in some cursed realtek software to enable the displaying of the checkbox I need in the realtek consolethis was fucking hell on earth
I might be building a brand new system tomorrow and I'd like to quickly set-up arch exactly as I have it on this system, is there an easy way of doing this?
>>107581434Any reason why I'm getting a lot of crackling from Pulseaudio when dmusic.dll plays a midi in wine?
>>107582071Put the disk into the new system, or use dd or clonezilla to copy the old disk to the new disk.

>>107582270I increased buffers with PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC to 120 and that seems to have worked kinda, but it seems that sound effects are kinda delayed now, or at least it seems to me that sound effects are now delayed, I didn't really test it for long. I guess when I get a chance to test it for longer I'll look into xruns, unless you have any insights into that.
>>107582203Because you're using pulseaudio, nigga
>>107582560Well I don't really have a lot of experience with the sound system of Linux, I generally don't even have to think about it because "it just werks" most of the time.
>>107582542well when you increase buffers it's normal that everything gets increasingly delayed.if you need no latency, using wine is probably never going to work. you need to go native, not sure what you're after but midi works fine with something like jack2/jack-pipewire with qjackctl for graph and patchbay overview + carla for vst's.
