A desktop DUH
Unless you have to carry your laptop to the classroom or something.

Does your college have computer labs? You don't really need a laptop if so. I'd suggest buying the most powerful desktop computer you can afford.
>>
Yeah i was thinking in the portability but i gueds that one cheap laptop will work
>>
just get a shitty cheap laptop and save everything to google cloud or whatever. there's no reason you need good specs for running c or java. that's literally what c and java are for.

Get a midrange laptop plus monitor and keyboard/mouse that will run your coursework. Run Windows. You can fuck around with Linux after you graduate. You don't need an attractive nuisance gaming system or bottomless pit of hackery to help you distract yourself and fail. You need to focus on study and fucking hot girls, in that order. Become a man, put away childish things, etc. Take it from me, this isn't idle advice. Learn from my struggle. Get an okay laptop.

I would recommend a laptop because of portability, especially if you’re going to be moving out. It’s nice to have when you travel and visit your family or friends. Your university will likely have a computer lab so you’ll already have access to a powerful desktop.
