Why should old phones slow down even though what we do on them has been the same for more than 10 years ? They are just grolified terminals, only thing they do is show data/image/video they get from servers.
>>107599174Because software becomes more and more fucking bloated.
>>107599199unfortunately this
grapheneos?
>>107599857I don't buy that it was actually a redditor that identified him
I recently purchased a $70 Galaxy A07 and it's super smooth after you unpozz it, which's a rather tedious process, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out Android can still be properly cleansed and secured even without root.
>>107599857which supposed "google phone" is this? looks like a 4-5a which wouldn't have grapheneos. maybe he used lineage?
>>107599876how did you unpozz it?
>>107599886Uninstalling, disabling, stopping and isolating everyhing that spies on me or serves no real purpise, and getting it all behind a firewall with very tight restrictions. Custom, secure DNS queries via third party client and other stuff. Droid-ify, Shizuku, Cant, SD-Maida and better browsers with proper privacy tweaks also help.
>>107599857>schizoOS
There's unlikely to be any more phones released in 2025.The Oneplus 15 wins phone of the year.
>>107599878How can you tell what phone that is from a photograph of a newspaper image of some grainy CCTV?
Out of the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 17 Base Model which has the better battery life? I want to upgrade from my Galaxy S23 to a phone with similar footprint, flagship specs, and an actually usable battery life that doesn't die in less than a day if I actually use it, take photos/videos, navigation, play games, etc. I can legit kill it in like 3 hours. It only lasts me the full day because I'm employed and can't use it all day...>inb4 oneplus/vivo mini phoneschinkware>inb4 pro max or ultra phonestoo big, I want <6.4 inches, ideally <5.5 inches but that's literally impossible unless you buy knockoff phones from aliexpress or get a very old phone, so let's settle for 6.1-6.3
>>107600726Just get the 17 Pro, the battery is so much better than the other two. With Apple you will always feel like shit if you don't get the Pro model.
>>107600507>all that hardening and degoogling>still shows google logo on bootkek
>>107600754>17 Prougly ass camera, i'm sorry but this no longer speaks "iphone" to me, it looks like a cheap jeetware xiaomi knockoffpicrelated is the iconic iphone look I've grown to like over the past, what, 6 years? I've never owned one, but always wanted one, just never was able to give up Android's nerdy shit like ad-free youtube free-of-charge, and suchit's ironic that as soon as I'm a working employed adult at the old age of twenty-four, Apple decides to completely neuter the design of the Pro iPhone, just so I no longer like it and can't buy one
>>107600827>itoddlers be like
>>107597628Thoughts on the pixel 9a? I'm used to shitty 200€ phones where it looks like the slenderman is near me every time i try to take a photo so it should be good enough to take pretty pictures and videos (which i never cared about before), idk how I feel about all the AI shit tho
>>107599174wear on components + system gets bloated
>>107601120Electronics don't wear out and slow down, they are not mechanical. They either become unstable like shwoing graphical artifacts or completely die. Bloat shouldn't matter cause Im not downloading more apps after a month and even if I did they should not be accessed and just stay in storage not in ram unless needed at the time.
