Blender, Houdini, and Unreal Engine users has been confirmed to be the most happiest.
>>107598967trying to get into blender and it's pretty overwhelming but i won't deny it's solid software
>>107598967Interesting, I didn't realize people felt that way about Unreal and Unity.
>>107598967It's easy to be happy when you're retarded, ignorance is bliss after all
>>107600393Used to have opposite feelings about it back in the day but while Unreal improved the hell out of their engine Unity went full corpo ad-spam, and make some questionable decisions.
There is no reason to not like Blender, it's completely freeUnity was really the king for a long time but sometime around 2020 they really fell off hard and Unreal has taken overAnd well Maya/3dsmax those are the old industry standard they were never ever good but you had no choice and you still really don't there are something like 100x more niche features crammed in to those software that Blender can't even begin to touch with every plugin installed also more bugs, but when productivity matters you just have to learn to deal with those things because Blender workflows are slow and tedious as fuck still
Can you really compare UE with blender and 3DS? This list seems retarded.
>>107598967How? Houdini seems to be industry standard but the UI kinda sucks, it's like something taken from the 2000s. If Blender improves the physics simulations it can take a big portion of Houdini cake easily.
>>107598967Happiness is a goal for anyone who is dumb enough to take hedonism as prime goal in life.
>>107600721You have never used Houdini if you think Blender has any chance of supplanting Houdini.
>>107598967> UE devs confirmed to be the most happiestYeah, unlike the end users who have to play UE slop
>>107600548>There is no reason to not like Blender, it's completely free It still has an awful UX and UX, there is a lot of unintuitive bullshit and a ton of obscure short cuts to memorize. Also it's inefficient in a production setting. I recently rendered 15k sprites for 2.5D game doing it in 3D max was easy and having the automation of having multiple files render properly without scripting is very nice. Doing the same in blender would have taken me much longer and it would have been a much more tedious experience. Blender is great if you're poor but as long as I have access to a budget I will always choose 3DS Max over blender. 3D Max has an ugly interface but it just makes sense. inb4 baby ducks syndrome, I've used Maya, Houdini, C4D, XSI and others but only blender feel frustrating to use, like gimp but for 3D>Maya/3dsmax those are the old industry standard they were never ever goodYet 1000's of games and movies were made with them
>>107600721How delusional are you?
>>107598967I was happy until I found out about godot. then I got extra happy.but I still do most of my modeling in solidworks because my work pays for it and I'm a lot more familiar with it
I recommend blender to people all the time because it's FREE, even though the UI is an abomination.
