The RAM shortage can literally last forever. Just because the OpenAI contract ends in 2026 doesnt mean another contract cant be created.
You're putting the cart before the horse assuming that OpenAI will fail when the contract is over. Its way way too soon to call it.
>>
So it lasts forever it literally does not matter nothing new has happened in 15 years that needs RAM. And GPUs are already stupidly expensive.
>>
>>107606090
Its pure cope, it's not coming down until some more fabs are constructed and are up and running.
>>
>>107606090
It could last for years... But this retarded AI bubble could also pop at any moment.

Sorry Sam but the bubble's popping and you're not getting a bailout
>>
Every day some fucking bot posts the same market manipulating bullshit, contributing to the (((problem))) by keeping it in the conversation. This is one such thread.

The markets are all fake, scarcity is artificial, and you really don't need these components. Get a job, get a house, grow your own food, and mind your own fucking business.
>>
>>107606190
i did that, now i'm feeling the consequences of chip makers acting like OPEC (jews) and the US government (also jews) not caring about the enforcing consumer protections anymore(also done by jews).

As if the bubble survives another 2 years max lol
>>
>>107606312
AI is here to stay whether you like it or not.
>>
>>107606190
>Get a job, get a house, grow your own food
This is harder than you think
>>
>>107606230
We are still well within those predictions.
What are you implying?
>>
>>107606090

ok so it lasts forever, what's your point?
>>
>>107606090
Because since the 80s these shortages have only lasted about 1-2 years. It could be 'muh new paradigm', but historically that's a bullshit narrative 99.99% of the time. More likely it's just DRAM mfgs doing a social media blitz to maximize their rapage before the market cracks.

Why do White people not understand economics these days? Judd increase the supply and the costs will come down lmao. Literally just build a factory and stop relying on chinks to create everything
>>
>>107606987
chinks can't even make ddr5 yet
>>
>>107606174
>not getting a bailout
>>
>>107606420
AI has its uses, and will stay. At the same time, the current bubble around OpenAI etc isn't sustainable.
>>
>>107606987
It takes 10 years to scale in. Demand will collapse first.
>>
>>107606987
>Judd increase the supply and the costs will come down lmao.
Companies are reluctant to do that exactly because if the bubble pops then oversupply will crater prices.
>>
>>107606987
1. You will never afford a gpu ever if manufacturers pay burgerland wages to your worker slaves
2. It will take like 10 years minimum to even develop one of those factories that will compete
3. Why do that when you can just join the monopoly cartel and price fix together for maximum profits
>>
>>107606090
>Wow! this is a shocking development, don't worry things will go back to normal soon
>What do you mean things haven't gone back to normal years after, this is the normal, it always has been like this
Just part of the enshittification on all spheres of life
