Do you use it?
news to me that anyone actually uses this distro
You keep making this thread and we keep telling you, not any more, they let yast rot, they can't keep stable releases worth a shit and myrlin and cockpit suck fucking ass.Fuck off it's dead until they get their shit together and apologize for alienating almost all of their support by being faggots.Even suse wants to break off from them
>>107606134I use tumbleweed on my desktop and leap on my server.
tried it a few times, found it more cumbersome than fedora
>>107606134Not at the moment, but it's my fallback distro, if fedora fails me. openSUSE, Fedora and Ubuntu are the only usable distros in 2025.
>>107606574I always have problems with Ubuntu and I've given it too many chances now. Gonna try openSUSE Gnome
>>107606160
>People with more conservative views are rotted flesh>We don't need you>Lose a shit ton of contributors>project is in the worst state it has ever beenI guess they were the ones that didn't need you eh?
>>107606134Yes. Linux since 1995Debian 2001-2023openSUSE Tumbleweed is the best distro I've ever used
>>107606929>debian for that longThat's like eating american cheese and getting attached to the first piece of parvalone you had and declaring it's better than any other cheese
>>107606943>that analogymentally ill or retarded?
>>107606961Seething retard
>>107606943This may come as a surprise to you, but some people use their computer for doing things rather than just fucking with different combinations of operating system components. Debian worked fine until it turned to shit, so why would I change until I had to?
>>107606943Also, my first distro was Slackware, then RedHat, then pre-apt Debian which sucked ass, then Mandrake, then Progeny Debian, then DeMuDi Debian, then mainline Debian. So it was the 7th piece of cheese, actually. Dumbfuck mongoloid asshat retard.
>>107606134>Do you use it?Yes I do.
>>107607005Who cares faggot, OpenSUSE is trash
>>107607088I might be a faggot but at least I'm not an imbecile incapable of appreciating a reliable distribution with sensible opinions
Ive been using arch on desktop since I switched to linux four years ago. Im also using debian on servers. Im satisfied with what I currently use, whats a reason to switch on desktop or server? How is package availability?Anything that works better than on other distros?
>>107607152You're talking to another anon..., all you signal to me is that you have been using shitboxes for a long period of time. You already have stable distros with not only better security than debian but support for modern devices. I can slap Fedora on a current year system and not have to wait for shit because my kernel is ancient trash. Debian is a server distro first and foremost.Don't try to pull rank on people when you're too cowardly to step off the plantation.
>There are retards that think modern tumblweed is worth using.Use case for a dying tranny kraut distro when Fedora exist? Can you name one thing tumblweed even offers anymore that Fedora does not?Yast means nothing because they are using cockpit something even fedora uses, they also have a shit tier package manager and they don't even have good driver or package support anymore.
Fill it up Fedora shill, dont forget me, I want some too.
>>107607251Works for me, have you tried not being gay? Also not everyone distrohops five times a day, people who installed Tumbleweed YEARS ago can still use it just fine no matter what the current installer sets by default. The package manager was also fixed to be faster for all the whiny faggots who think it matters in the slightest. Maybe it does need to be faster in Arch where you get prompted nine times in random intervals and if you look away the whole thing times out. With Tumbleweed I always just leave it in the background and check back whenever I fucking feel like it. It finishes on its own and making it faster makes zero difference to me. I don't stare at it intensely the whole time. People who still use Windows are conditioned to not touch the device while it's updating. It's pretty sad actually.
>>107607366Using 'jaks in response to anything is a sign of extreme and irredeemable mental illness. Kill yourself, preferably right now.
I want to use it because of the funny lizard, but Packman (the 3rd party repo you have to use to get codecs and other shit for some reason) only has mirrors in Germany, Czechia, and China. This makes updates painfully slow in the US and it pisses me off. Any distro that wants to be a general desktop OS should have solved this problem. Maybe there's some other method I don't know about, but for now I'm on Arch.
>>107607384>works for meI find it funny how OP always reveals himself using that phrase as a cope in every suse cope thread.>>107606160Was right
>>107607366Couldn't answer the question I see
If this sucks and is nothing like I remembered, the good ol' days of 10.2, I'm going to kms, I won't deserve to see the new year.
S-so fast!
