What's the best PC controller on the market right now? My wired Xbox controller from 2015 works fine but I wanna go wireless
>>
For price get a Logitech F310
For form factor get a Sony DS4
For quality get a Gamesir (unironically)
>>
>>107613160
Unironically the wired game sir tegenaria lite for PS4 layout or wired pxn p5 8k for Xbox layout. Very good latency and feature sets on both
>>
honestly a DS4 and DualSense are pretty much interchangeable, i use both but mostly use my DualSense because it uses USB-C to charge

Mouse and keyboard. Always has been.

you'll be lying if you say that you need than this
>>
>>107613228
It has drift issues and deadzones. No TMR joysticks or Hall effect triggers either
>>107613209
Plenty of games play better with controller. Not to mention being able to play laid back
>>107613172
>Gamesir
You mean the G7 pro? Its dpad is atrocious
>>107613196
I said wireless
>>107613201
What about compatibility issues
>>
>>107613270
regarding compatibility issues, i haven't had any problems yet. even with games that don't officially support those controllers you can make them work in steam. i play the old saints row games with it. the touchpad acts like a mouse too which is a plus
>>
>>107613270
Imo seems like your best bet is buying a modded PS4/5 controller with tmr sticks and stuff and then overclocking its Bluetooth connection polling rate to be 1000 or 2000hz. That's gonna be the minmaxxed wireless solution that still has good latency comparable to wired. Every other wireless controller has much higher latency than an overclocked PS4/5 controller

Is there a single good, hall effect based 3rd party controller in the PS4 form factor? And with gryo, that's essential. Touchscreen, I could maybe give or take, but I have a lot of custom Steam configs that use it now.

I will never be able to get used to the X-box analog stick layout, or the dpad. The better controllers are all 3rd party now, pretty innovative with controls and buttons and Hall effect sticks. But most default to an X-box layout.

PS4 controllers are getting pretty expensive now and I don't want to risk second hand. Mine has lasted a long time and the gyro has served me well, but it's time to splash the cash and upgrade. Is there anything out there?
>>
>>107613270
you can just mod in better sticks
>>
>>107613338
ps4/5 controllers don't have removable batteries

usecase for gyro and don't say shooters

I'm using the ultimate 2 and it's nice, my pro 3 is coming in the mail because I prefer symmetrical sticks and I don't want to wear out my PS5 controller because it's quiet but not as durable.
What are your thoughts on the pro 3?
>>
>>107613462
oh, I'm waiting... I'm waiting.

>>107613490
shit cause they got red of the removable battery

I'm sure that's a easy replacement. I had a pro 1 that lasted me for years but I decided to just get a new one after the membrane for the buttons just stopped working, plus I really hate the switch layout now that I dropped nintendo as a company.
I really wish they made a ultimate with symmetrical sticks but the pro has a better grip imo

My Gamesir controller is nice.

The dildo feature was an odd, but interesting design choice.

Everything. Unironically everything. I am deadly serious.

Because Xbox didn't include Gyro last gen, people haven't twigged it, but once you use a controller/game that supports gyro, going back to games without it is like losing a limb. It genuinely makes a difference in 1st and 3rd person shooters, but even in games that support mouse based menus it is a godsend to be able to control these when they come up just using the gamepad. I've customized a full Steam controller layouts for Space Engine using chords, multipresses, but especially leaning on gyro-based mouse control, to get a planetarium from the couch.

I genuinely compare having/not-having gyro on a gamepad to having/not-having analog sticks. You notice it most when it's missing. The only reason people get evenagelical about this was because of the MS decision not to add it to the X/S-series. But for that it would be default everywhere by now. Like I say to everyone, it's a matter of time before it does, and it is worth your time to try out.

>>107613540
None of the games I play use a gyro
>>
>>107613542
I thought they were chinkshit not jeetshit.
>>
>>107613546
Which gets frustrating when you have to go back to them. Sometimes you can throw something together using joystick-mouse, but that's when you feel the loss of the gyro. For games that support it, it's awesome. Completely removes all need for any aim-assist, so you can actually play PC 1st person games with a gamepad.

So what about the 3rd party DS4 variants? Daddy needs a new gyro wheel.
>>
>>107613593
ds4 layout sucks ass, and the controller feels like cheap shit
>>
>>107613593
Sony has always been the best, Sony purpously cripples third party controllers which is why the market for them is so shit. I think the 8 bit do pro 3 will be fine but the button are on the loud side and if you enjoy sony controllers like I do that's a deal breaker.
Sony just needs to make hall effect/tmr sticks but they are too fucking cheap
>>107613607
That is a goated controller, I only stopped using mine after it died and bought a ps5 controller. The controller is so good sony refuses to lower the fucking price.
>>
>>107613160
At this point I'd just wait for the new Steam controller to come out next year, especially if you already have a working controller. Keep using it until then.

360 pad is hard to beat especially in terms of value and very representative of the times when xbox and microsoft as a whole were a respected brand. Can't go wrong with this for any genre you like to play
>>107613228
easily breakable as I have come to find out twice unfortunately. I never even throw it away or abuse it in rage, it just fell down one day and stopped turning on since then. Apparently a very common thing as I have read with no fix apart from letting microshit repair this retarded piece of plastic. It just feels cheap too especially when you hold a dualsense in comparison.
Dualsense is more expensive but you definitely get your moneys worth. It's amazing how sony isn't even trying to be consumer friendly and yet still moggs the living shit out of this boomer jeetware. The "console war" will be officially over with the next gen and bill gates overvalued vibe code company hopefully buried by the end of this decade.
>>107613451
not very fond of this pad specifically but 8bitdo is a S tier controller/arcade stick brand especially given the affordable price range
>>107613400
ds4 is great, unfortunately doesn't hold up very long so I wouldn't pay a lot of money for it
>>
>>107613725
Second this, went through 3 of the new xbox pads within a month of normal use and I'm somebody that typically keeps a controller for 5+ years. Microsoft did something but the controller has the durability of a 90s era madcatz controller.
Will never buy that piece of shit again.
>>
>>107613228
>you need than this
Sar, thank you for doing the needful. 200 rupees have deposited to your Microsoft employee account
>>
>>107613522
Correction it was a pro2
Hopefully with the new layout it doesn't become a issue. The face buttons are slightly louder but not much different from the pro 2
