Everytime I use my unmodified smartphone or Discord my friends I feel like a fucking idiot, knowing for all my privacy conciousness and stress I still do this since the last 10 years from my teens to adulthood, knowing these schmucks know what devices I use, who I am, where I live, my psych profile, who I have sex with, everything for all I know. It makes me want to puke.So why can't I or all my other peers drop this fucking ring?
>>107621159>having friends
>>107621167That is the price, you do not seriously think Friends, family, and girlfriend/wife are compatible with privacy?
>>107621159>So why can't I or all my other peers drop this fucking ring?I tried getting my friends to move to alternatives, but it's useless. Most people are happy being led to the slaughter.
>>107621201>are compatible with privacy?Inherently, there's nothing systemic that implies this.In the real world, however, they don't ever practice privacy hygene because they have never understood the requirement. This is adjusting, but most are unwilling to adjust the habits they shouldn't have formed whilst pushing sane alternatives into obscurity...Case in point, common users ignored XMPP until screwgle bastardised it for gtalk, and meta scraped off all concepts of privacy and security to build whatscrapp...Aint none of 'em heard of XMPP, understand it doesn't lock them into a closed wall garden, or that it allows for privacy. But they all know whatscrapp. >>107621223>Most people are happy being led to the slaughter.Perfectly happy to cram nails into the stick being used to beat them. Until the pain happens. Suddenly they uncomfy.
>>107621201outside of your schizo techbro friend group, no. normies want normie apps and will think you're a weirdo for wanting to use privacy-friendly alternatives. they don't seem to operate on objective facts but instead rely on social consensus, and if you threaten the consensus by pointing out that normie messaging apps are basically spyware then you're the issue, not the apps, regardless of the facts at hand. they would need something like a big news story that would break into the mainstream for them to change their minds because that's where the new consensus will be. i don't understand this thinking myself but it is what it is, you can't have "privacy" and not be seen as more or less schizophrenic.
>>107621159>muh privacyIf you actually cared, you would have moved to a cabin in the woods and yet here you are. Absolutely retarded.
>>107621597>you would have moved to a cabin in the woodsThermal imaging, government id, ai facial reocgnition cameras, radio, satellites, electricity and water contracts, all these things still track you.
>>107621875If you wanted to disappear. To truly "disappear". You wouldn't be here shitposting. >Thermal imagingYou are not trying to become Kaczynski 2.0. You are just trying to prevent your data from being tracked. I doubt agents can deduce your personality based on your heat signature. >government id, ai facial reocgnition cameras, radio, electricity and water contractsSkill issue. There are methods through which you pass by without getting tracked. >satellitesSelf-Host. Just... stop. Stop with all this "privacy". Stop pretending that you care. Even if you did, it is useless. Even if you become invisible, what are you going to do anyways? Resistance is futile.
>>107621947The actual coup de grace for zoomers entrenched in FAGMAN services and smartphones is AI, and the datacenters anre algorithims no doubt already in operation since 2022 automatically sorting all this data per individual. Palantir must surely be the public face of the NSA.And if you're using chink phones, you get both CCP and USA building profiles of you somewhere for all you know.
