I use sway (wayland). Windows key+b splits horizontally, windows key+arrow goes to nearby window, windows key+number goes to the numbered worldpace etc.

What >>107632025 said is correct, many websites will limit text paragraphs width to make reading easier. Wider sentences run the risk of losing your vertical position more than shorter ones.
