I brought this up a few years ago as a concept. What do you think about it now?
>>107635809Why would I pay to expose myself to the dumbest motherfuckers the human race has ever produced?
>>107635819>Why would I pay to expose myself to the dumbest motherfuckers the human race has ever produced? He says while paying to use the internet.
>>107635819They wouldn't be as dumb if every post and picture costs one cent.
>>107635809too cheap. make it 10c then you'll see real results.
Zuckerberg must be laughing his ass off about how people are now begging him to paywall facebook in order to reduce the A.I. spam.
>>107635809too little. I use 4chan constantly and it would still cost me like a quarter a day under this scheme. needs to be just expensive enough to filter the third world and any third worlders who exist in the first.
If it was two cents then you have the wordplay of "putting in your two cents".
>>107635841Who would pay to post other than retarded narcissists and retards with other mental deficiencies?
>>107635977People who enjoyed the internet before it was consumed by spambots and A.I. slop. That's what the one cent cost is designed to defeat.
>>1076360151 cent per interaction is disastrous for spammers. It takes them thousands of posts just to get one human response. The spambot and slop economy would instantly collapse on this site.
>>107635809>social networkThere's your problem, kiddo. You're still thinking in terms of>How do we save these giant global super forums?instead of>YAY THE GIANT GLOBAL SUPER FORUMS ARE FUCKING DYING HIP HIP HOORAY HIP HIP HOORAY!The AI slopfactories will take over these dumb ass social media sites no matter what happens. The future of the internet is probably going to be smaller message boards, invite only, friends of friends type shit. Basically what it was before Zuckerberg took a big shit on the internet in the 2000's. You just have to expect that the open internet's going to be an absolute cesspool going forward.
>>107635809>A social network where every interaction costs one centI like your chutzpah, kid!
>>107635809This is called "microtransactions" in case you want to investigate everyone who's also thought of this in the past 40 years. Also too bad pennies were phased out this year, lmao.
>>107635809My Obama phone doesn't have a coin slot
>>107635859I bet Facebook is the one doing the AI spam
>>107635809It's hard to express how stupid of an idea this is. When I make a post on your site, I am paying you. Your site needs users. Users are attracted by posts. So when I post I am contributing to your site in a positive way. If you make me pay for the privilege then I - and the majority of posters - will leave. You know who won't leave? Spammers. They are already willing to pay to post, in the form of captcha solvers, proxies, ais to make their post, etc. If they are shills or astroturfers, they also earn money off of each post. So naturally if you explicitly charge them to post they won't blink. Charging a fee for each post is the quickest possible way to make your site consist of nothing but spammers. The slashdot model, while also unviable today, is at least not as conceptually broken. We can think of it as a deposit that you pay for a post that is returned to you if your post isn't spam. This solves the same problem in the same way, minus the retardation. It still doesn't work, because again, by posting I am contributing to your site, but at least it does not immediately lead to your site being filled with spammers.
>>107635809>pay to use a worse facebookfor what purpose
