Jensen says it's their second home.>With the official announcement, Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang said: “Israel is home to some of the world’s most brilliant technologists and has become NVIDIA’s second home. Our new campus will be a place where our teams can collaborate, invent, and build the future of AI. This investment reflects our deep and enduring commitment to our families in Israel and their unique contributions to the AI era.”So TLDR if you buy an Nvidia gpu you support1. Alright lads, do I get a 9070 XT or a 5090?
I'm on an Asrock X470 Master SLI/AC and never bothered to update the bios, now I'm about to install a 5700X3D on it, do I just flash the latest bios of that board or I need to pick an earlier one? Anything else I need to be careful about to not brick my PC?

Do 80Plus Bronze PSUs have a bad reputation in terms of reliability and safety compared to silver/gold/etc?
You know what, I just realized I don't care anymore, 7 years of being stuck in a cramped case has forced my hand.Behold my technological terror.
>>107637196Kino
>>107637188lollmaoBronze, gold, plat ratings are only about their efficiency. They're all reliable and people somehow forgot that the ratings are only there so they don't spend more on an electricity bill.
>>107637003They're behind every panel.
>>107637183No, the other parts production will be slowed down or just put more in warehouse, less refreshes or product updates. Enjoy the stagnation >>107637188Dawg just use AI to even give you the basics. Do not buy below gold or reap the rewards of shitty capacitors and rail noise and spikes.>>107637196Cmon kohai even my 5 HDD+ tower has better cable management than that
>>107637204I was under the impression that higher efficiency ratings would be correlated with better materials and build quality, and thus a reduced chance of the PSU dying too early, or zapping the entire built into an early grave.
>>107636576I don't have access to a VGA adapter yet (they're really hard to find and I need a new card) so I'm banking on one of my fan hubs (PWM or manual 3 pin) doing the job.>>107636795I tried there at first but it didn't clear, I've found a compromise for now though. >>107637239PSUs lasts a long time. By the time yours 'dies' you would have replaced it already.I have bronze PSUs in my server that's been in use for 25 years. You're worrying about a nothingburger.

how is 2nm looking?still as expensive and faulty as 6 months ago?6090 = $3000?
>>107637196took me ages to get past this boss on Elden Rin
>>107637240That tape better be electrical tape. Also just zip tie the fans around the GPU. there's a small gap between the GPU and motherboard. It's what I did to my HBA cards.
>>107637221>cable managementTired of doing that in an RG4T, there is a hard limit with this many drives. Technically it is even worse given this is a Zalman Z3 chassis, but I'll reference my 2015 photos later. If I can get my HAF 932 de-tarred it might solve all my problems.I just need to make sure everything is working and nothing catches on fire first. Pragmatic needs have come first and I need easy access to my parts. Otherwise I work on it all day as I did today. My biggest worry right now is not all of the 3 pin fan headers making contact with the controller and the exposed GPU heatsink. Cable management can come later.
>>107637335just buy a bigger case dude
>>107637330It's regular 3M duct tape for now given someone took my electrical tape, necessary for the load. Hopefully the residue won't be a problem as I only taped the plastic shrouds on the fan and backplate.I'll try zipping up the card through the rear given I did manage to pop put the remaining slots with some minor capacitor bends and all around on the third fan if I do add it.
>>107637221>Do not buy below goldIt's getting difficulty to find golds anywhere these days that aren't at an unnecessarily high wattage.>>107637292I've been worrying because my Corsair RM550x caused a spark on the motherboard last year and I had to replace it, and before that, my GPU randomly died despite not being old, and now my aftermarket CPU fan is constantly at max RPM for no identifiable reason as if it were overclocked (even though nothing in my PC is). Now I'm not getting video signal on boot (GPU or integrated) unless I unplug the PC from the wall at the end of each day, as if it needs drained capacitors to even supply power properly.I'm rather suspicious of it. This is rather stressful.
>>107637354I did, but it needs further disassembly and decontamination before use. I have to douse it in alcohol and acetone before repainting it to try and purge the smell.
>>107637382oh you're the haf guy yeah it sucks the case is a biohazard
>>107637374Stop plugging in your PSU directly in the wall. Buy a UPS. My guess is that your place has dirty electricity and it fucked your PSU. Bronze or gold or plat will shit itself eventually when it's not protected. But now what your PSU is fucked stop using it, buy a new one and buy a UPS along with it.Consider that an expensive lesson to protect your electronics using a surge protector/UPS.
>>107637018I just sold my 5800x3d and ddr4 ram in a bundle for $700. I had it just sitting there after I upgraded to am5.
>>107637417God dammit. I thought these things had been sorted out and designed to filter out dirty power and surges by now.
>>107637449I wish I could have a system this clean for the last 10 years. Maybe I need aftermarket cables for my Seasonic PSU.
>>107637374Just get this broFuture proofed New condition There's cheaper PSUs on woot but they're 'factort reconditioned ' which im interpreting as open box returns from AmazonSame goes for GPUs there but take your risk Fuck you "system thinks is spam" I'm trying to link Woot to help an anon out on cheap deals
>The dream once might have been to own a home and maybe that dream got adjusted to "Well I'll just try to buy a nice car instead", That gets adjusted to "I'll just buy a nice computer instead, I can afford that". People will just continually adjust to what they think is achievable. They adjust their ambitions and now these companies want you to subscribe to your computer too.Damn Steve why you gotta depress me like that.

>>107637599Cooling and swapping out cooler via brackets though sometimes it doesn't work outOtherwise it's a bitch to take out the entire seated mobo if you wanna repaste or redo coolerLike my current case, I'd keep it forever if it didn't have that issueI might Dremel it when I stop being lazy and rubber gasket the shit out of itOr use electrical tape for the rough edges

PC gaming as a hobby is effectively dead. Majority of consumers will never have a PC faster then what they have now. Companies wont make demanding software anymore since basically nobody can run it
>>107637726Your PC only needs to be on par with PS5 and thats not difficult since thats just post 2020 machine.
So the 2-120mm fans on the GPU actually didn't perform bad at first, I foolishly forgot to plug in the power connector for my DC fans so it ran with only the CPU/GPU/exhaust PWMs but it didn't go past 70C on the hotspot running SDXL. Fans were at 600 RPM on the CPU.The bad news was when I ran Superposition 1080p extreme, where I quickly encountered thermal throttling once a few minutes in. The fans clearly need to speen faster but they did not given it is a GPU focused benchmark, this is what I feared would happen. 96c on the hotspot with 950mv undervolt, thank god I temperature limited it to 80c in afterburner.I will need to find a VGA to PWM fan splitter to plug directly into the card and use 3 fans at that, likely 800-1000 RPM at least. Otherwise the hard disk buzzing is the loudest thing in the box.
