Shill me Bazzite.>.t a artix linux who just wants to use his PC normally now, no longer a traany
You should use fedora over bazzite if you know what you're doing anon.
>no longer a tranny>BazziteYou're going to be disappointed then.
The concept of gaming distros reminds me of how some people don't realize that kali just has a bunch of packages reinstalled
>>107637251*Preinstalled ^_^
>>107637268My bad, thanks
>>107637244>You should use fedora over bazzite if you know what you're doing anon.Fedora silverblue? or whatever the immutable one is called?
immutable distros are for your grandma's pc, or if you're a system administrator and you're sick of active directory or ansible or whatever. why would anyone willingly put this on their own personal machine?
>>107637322I would just use normal fedora desu. Unless you can't be assed to worry about anything I don't see how that can be an issue for you as someone familiar with arch.
>>107637370>I would just use normal fedora desu. Unless you can't be assed to worry about anything I don't see how that can be an issue for you as someone familiar with arch.Fedora is 12 months updates now no? I thought it was 6 months updates
>>107637230I don't see why you'd run an immutable OS unless this is a steam machine/steam deck style device that won't be used like a PC.
>>107637230tranny mascot
>>107637244Don't listen to this lunatic. If you just want to game and use productivity software and a web browser and listen to music and shit then install Bazzite.
>>107637350>immutable distros are for your grandma's pc, or if you're a system administrator and you're sick of active directory or ansible or whatever. why would anyone willingly put this on their own personal machine? If you're A) maintaining/developing multiple software projects with all sorts of different dependencies, and B) you don't give a flying fuck about ricing your desktop like some nocoder shut-in. It's for people who want a nice stable system to do their developing on.
>>107637230>just wants to use his PC normall>systemd protest distro
>>107637230Bazzite is fedora with preinstalled shitI'm not sure if you will like fedora because it's the distro that pushed all other distros to use wayland and systemd, which is somewhat the antithesis of distros like artix or devuan. But in any case, Fedora is the better pick here.
>>107637485>A)you use nix for that
>>107637230could opt to cachyos, has a 'games installer' which pretty much does the same
>>107637230Immutable distros are great. I really want to use SecureBlue, but this system is so clean and stable that I haven't felt the need to endure a reinstall after about two or three years. The closest I ever got was at one point I was messing around with my system trying to fix audio errors, my system wouldn't update because of an error with the repositories I had added. All I had to do was run one command and everything was removed, I had a fresh start, all my flatpaks were still installed and the only thing I had to reinstall was my Mullvad VPN. It wasn't even a rolllback (which you can also do) just one command and you have a fresh system but all your apps and config files still remain.I'm never going to go back to non-immutable distributions after having tried it. Bazzite has been a really good experience. The only thing I don't like about it are the tranny devs pushing politics on twitter. Other than that it's pretty solid.
>>107637637>you use nix for thatkek as if>>107637745Why not just rebase and see if you like it?
>>107637230>who just wants to use his PC normallyGo with Mint then.
>>107637950Debian based distros are garbage on top of garbage. Worst advice of the thread.
>>107637921>t. never used nixits literally perfect for a usecase like that
