I wanted to buy one for about $150 to use for some Android games that I like, but they're all junk in terms of specs. The newest Chromecast/Streamer thing has a CPU with only four A55 cores. Even the $200 nVidia Shield still has 2017 Switch tier hardware.I find that odd because my $150 Android phone has a relatively good processor despite also needing to incorporate a screen and a battery. It's got 2x A76 cores and 6x A55s. Hell, even the Raspberry Pi 5 has 4 A76 cores.
It’s pretty wild to think technology is degrading. >but muh aiPleauted two years ago. Now ai slop code is going into production and software is getting worse too. Both hardware and software are degrading steeply. All my life everyone believed technology only progressed
>>107639353They're meant to prey on most people who have been brainwashed to think that x86 = power hungry despite 7W TDP chips like the intel N100 being found on $200 mini PCs. They think the only 2 options for watching netflix on your TV is a giant refrigerator sized gaming PC pulling 500W from the breaker box or a small roku box.The chinks then realized that as long as you include video hardware acceleration most people won't complain about pentium 4 CPU performance.
