Should I get 12700F if I can buy another graphics card if it breaks? Should I buy a cheap graphics card in case I need to diagnose with a broken graphics card then? I could get 12700K + Z690 but that's just too much if I don't OC, even without OC I still don't want to use liquid cooling.

Also being an R9 X3D chip actually makes it bad again, since the 7900/7950X3D and 9900/9950X3D chips have 2 CCDs and only 1 of the CCDs has the 3D cache, it means anytime your game touches the 2nd CCD you end up having to use the RAM, not the nice fast 3D cache. And beacuse your games might be intermittently using either CCD, you actually end up with a LOT more inconsistent perforamance.tldr; you probably should enable the EXPO speeds (or manually set timings/frequency/voltage)
