2026 will be the year of the Linux desktop (real)
>>107648477Linux is already miles ahead of windows on desktop. The only thing we need now is Linux gaining marketshare so first party drivers are also being developed for linux. This will improve support for laptops and phones and then finally winblows and jeetdroid will fall.
>>107648477God please no. Loonix would be filled with even more wintards.
>>107649194this, the best keep quiet.
>>107649179What do you mean? The open drivers for nvidia gpus are getting better everyday. As a matter of fact, arch switched to nvidia-open and nvidia-open-dkms a few days ago. They are not that far from the proprietary ones and the gap should close soon enough.
>>107648477Vanguard doesn't supoprt it.EAC doesn't support it.Javelin doesn't support it.Photoshop CC doesn't support it.Premiere CC doesn't support it.VEGAS doesn't support it.FL Studio doesn't support it.Denuvo doesn't support it 90% of the time.No industry standard software that is up-to-date will ever support it.90% of MP games will simply perma ban your account for being on GNU/+Linux (eg; like Apex Legends did).
>>107649338All spyware and malwareYou don't need all thisLinux is the free OS
>>107649338You always post this and I always tell you to remove FL Studio from the list. Werks with WINE. Unless you mean a Native version of course.
>>107649373>You don't need all thisMost of those programs have no decent alternatives.
>>107649443I VILL POST IT AGAINYOU VILL REMOVE ITYOU VILL DO IT FOR FREE
>>107649391Would a repack of Fl Studio 21 work? I tried one on my system but it got stuck at the demo song and I couldn’t interact with the UI
>>107649179It won't make a difference. James Jones is still the man in charge and Linux will never have feature parity with windows. Look at all the time nvidia put into replacing nvcpl on windows because they kept breaking dropdown boxes and couldn't disable one feature automatically upon enabling another, and revert it when turned off. They went with nvidia app or whatever that garbage is.There's no way linux will ever get the same treatment unless James Jones keels over.
At *best*, Linux will hit 7% market share in 2026. Hardly a dominating percentagehttps://www.pornhub.com/insights/2025-year-in-review#devices-tech
>>107649194Not all distros. Ubuntu and some other distros are literally just linux for winfags
