why do autists love this technology?

An oscilloscope?
They can tell you the state of electronics and if something needs adjusting or if something needs repair or replaced
>>
fundamental vibrations of reality or some /x/ shit
>>
>>107664559
lots of buttons and knobs
a stim device

>make oscillator
>can't verify frequency
>can't verify waveform
>can't verify noise level
>can't verify duty cycle
well, my multimeter *can* measure frequency but the rest is still true

People normally like what they have mastered, and this tech requries more patience than most neurotypicals ever had.
>>
>>107664578
This is standard equipment in embedded systems development.

okay mr autism superman

for what?

It is noral for embedded systems to have many test points where you can attach an oscilloscope probe and know what the expected waveform should be. Deviations may be documented but in any case any deviation from the expected waveforms will tell you what the problem is.
Typical errors are amplitude errors and clipping.

Look at all the knobs and buttons it has, who wouldn't love it?

Analog oscilloscope are a pain to use.(and completely outdated)
Digitalizing oscilloscope are simple and intuitive to use. They are very handy for many many situations such as checking waveforms, buses, clocks signals. I use mine daily (TDS420)

Because It's so fucking cool!

Skill issue

Someone doesn't know how to use their tools...

>embedded systems still have test points
There was once a time where all electronics had them, then the jewish nation attacked...
>>107664903
Skill issue.
And analog has the advantage of showing you the raw waveform without sampling and resolution bullshit.
Analog multimeters also have the advantage of being much faster than digital.
Newer isn't always better.

oh? then tell me how I'm supposed to measure 20KHz+ waveforms with a 3 samples/s multimeter
>>

>multimeter
This is a scope thread.

I like symmetry and geometric shapes

Post scope larper.
Analog scope is absolute garbage.
Have you ever heard of analog bandwith ?You have 0(zero) benefit over digital. They are much slower to use, without any smart trigger, without cursors, without memory, without fft, without every single basic amenities a digital scope offer.

Obviously you never used a scope for real work

>Analog scope is absolute garbage.
Drivel.
I used a Tektronix scope with plu-in modules, and the differential input microvolt plug-in was god enough for characterising our thin film devices.
>>
>>107666312
What kind of device ?
Analog scope can be high quality, with nice front end, but they are outdated and anyone that claim that are in any way superior to digital is retarted and never used both for real work
