They are pretty great laptops. And if you didn't spend money for it, it's hard to say no. It's still weird to do some things natively (like 3 finger tap STILL doesn't middle click), and the key commands are nonsense sometimes. They are very sturdy and will last a long time, provided they got you Apple Care+ or whatever.
I wouldn't recommend most people get these. But it's very, very good as a gift. Also congrats on having rich relatives I guess.
