Is this antivirus good, or should I look for a better one?
>>107668516you should probably not use a computer at all if you need an AV
>>107668516AVG, Avast, Avira and Norton are owned by the same company and, afaik, use the same detection database. They're a bit too protective and you also need to disable several settings so they don't bombard you with ad notifications urging you to upgrade to their paid model. Most anons who aren't overconfident bugchasers would probably say that Windows Defender is enough. I'm not saying don't use Norton's products, just that in my experience they only achieve better detection rates by overdoing it on the false positives. To their credit, they also bundle some free stuff like software autoupdaters (for other installed apps). But they've also been known to hoard and likely sell user data without their consent. In short, I can't really recommend AVG or anything else owned by the same company. They get the job done, but there are probably better alternatives. Maybe Malware Bytes? I'm not that knowledgeable about AVs in general. But I consider it perfectly reasonable to have some form of protection.

>>107668675Oh and they also own the absolute AIDS in app form known as CCleaner.
>>107668516When it comes to AV's, you either get the absolute best or you're getting garbage, and the goat by far and by much is NOD32.
