Firefox doesn't prefetch web pages iirc. Chrome and others start downloading all the links on a page so when you click them it's already loaded. IMO it's wasteful and invasive but yeah it's fast.

Firefox and Brave have awful defaults. Zen is currently the best gecko browser and Brave probalby the best chromium one. We really need Ladybird. no chromium browser is truly private... but the world is built on chromium and safari
