I was thinking about this for some time, renewable is a joke, nuclear is too expensive, hydro isn't available everywhere and cause problems with downstream countries
Oil and Gas as energy sources are
>Scalable
>Cheap and abundant
>The price of a power station is dirt cheap
>Less variables that can reduce the output
>Tech can be improved to reduce pollution
Other alternatives are just failing to meet one or most of these criteria
The US current attempt to change Venezuela gov is a public declaration that alternatives have mostly failed and at best just reduced the need for gas and oil by small margins

My solar panels cover all of my energy needs, even during winter.
>>
>>107671076
Nuclear is only expensive because Boomers made it expensive. It's unironically cheap as fuck if you don't purposely bury the industry in unrequired red tape.
>>
>>107671148
I doubt you're going to maintain this position if they decide to build a reactor a mile away from your home.
>>
EV's would work if gov actually cared about expanding charging infrastructure. We had almost 15 years and little was done to this day. Its the same reason as anon above mentioned - boomer red tape.

Also fuck the new captcha. Its getting more and more complicated. I Guess the retards did not expect that in era of pattern recognition software called AI making a picture based captcha would be broken by AI within seconds.

The government does not fund petrol stations.
>>
>>107671236
>expanding charging infrastructure
Earth doesn't have so much copper. It wouldn't work
>>
>>107671076
>Tech can be improved to reduce pollution
It can't you fucking oil industry plant, you've been memed, carbon capture is a failed concept
The only one who is *actually* working (and succeding) on improving fossil plant emissions (and not just voiding taxpayer money like in the JewSA) right now is china which is yet another reason why you'll be a vassal, if you're still sovereign
>>
>America is gonna give itself Delhi quality air just to power the profitless AI meme with substandard coal plants just to "own" the Chinese
it's gonna be hilarious.

also cont.
>US current attempt
That's because the administration is, on the decree of the people, staffed with aristocrats who understandably take advantage of the situation
>Less variables
As compared to what? solar? have you ever been to a sunny part of the US?
fossil in comparison has already shown itself to be unstable in a globalist context, europe 2022
>>
new powerplants are gonna be hooked up directly to data centers with zero investment into improving the grid.

household plebs and normal businesses will be stuck with germany-tier electricity prices and rolling blackouts (rich people will just buy home batteries) so ChatGPT 7 is 0.32% better on synthetic benchmarks.

Giving yourself too much credit there.

I'm happy for you but solar farms aren't enough for the average country needs, also putting solar panels on houses and building make them ugly
>>
>>107671189
what if a rock falls on your head right now?
>>
>>107671604
Solar allows energy generation to be decentralised.
It is moronic to waste acres of land on solar farms when you could offload much of the burden by simply giving citizens a modest subsidy to cover their houses in solar panels, and get decently sized batteries.
>>
>>107671605
I would get a concussion, and perhaps outright die.
>>
>>107671605
I didn't have a rock fall on my head this morning.
>>
>>107671189
Nuclear is less radioactive than coal. I'd much rather have a nuclear power plant near my house than any fossil fuel plant.
>>
>>107671148
it's capital intensive upfront
loads more engineering
in the long run its a lot cheaper but the break even point is like after 5 years of operation
>>
>>107671648
Both of them still suck.
Living next to a solar or wind farm would be a total nothing burger on the other hand.
>>
>>107671663
>live next to wind farm
>your front yard is permanently full of dead birds
No thanks
>>
>>107671669
>I don't want free food.
Why are you like this?
>>
>>107671663
Explain what's bad about living near a nuclear power plant besides "Soviets don't know how to boil water"
