i installed ubunchu 24.04LTS on my laptoplack of HDR and color profiles with my nvidia card is disappointing but windows has degenerated too farthere's a vague roadmap to enabling HDR and color profiles without dicking around with rube goldberg X11 scripts, i guess i can waiti forgot how much bullshit i was already putting up with on windows like no side taskbar

I can't install win11 on my AM4 desktop. It refuses to see the internal nvme and SATA drives. It keeps asking for a driver and I've tried everything on the manufacturer website. win10 works. linux just fucking works. why does windows not ship with basic drivers in the ISO? it's not some rare equipment. it's a boring Asus AM4 motherboard.
