the new nvidia update completely broke my arch cojmputer
>>107690450pacman really needs a feature to yell at you with manual intervention news before you update
>updating nvdia in 2025
>>107690450The Arch developers should have tested it before rolling it out the door to users, fuck Arch for being idiotsUnless you did it to yourself bypassing the Arch update thing
>>107690450>Njudea >Loonix>Arch of all distrosYou brought this upon yourself nigger
>>107690608
>>107690450You should have bought AMD.
Didn't notice anything here.I use Mint btw
>>107690450>NvidiaYou asked for it and paid for this to happen. This is 100% your own fault.
>>107690450>buying nvidia
>>107690450That's so weird, my Ubuntu box works just fine
>>107690450i just updated my drivers just fine on win11maybe it's a problem with your choice to use a shitty meme troonix distro?
You can't just install bleeding edge all the time without getting cuts once in a while
>>107690450works on my machine
>>107691191True, that's why i went to debian after this incident. I want my base system to keep working fine after i got it working. I will deal with newer stuff using /usr/local, stow and compilation by hand.
'tis all fine on my Fedora Workstation
Arch user should read the news before -Syuing.
>>107691646Nobody reads the news and anyone that says they do is a liar.
>>107691661If you're not reading the news, then why are you Syuing?
>>107690450Happened to me with fucking ubuntu after 15 years, meanwhile I'm on windows 11 jesus fucking christ.
>>107691678Because 99.9% of the time nothing bad happens. I'll research the .1% times something bad happens. Net loss of time is far less this way compared to reading the news all the time and I've been using arch for around 10 years at work, so minimum 8 hours a day. You do not read the news. If you do, you don't respect your own time.
