The wavebird battery used to last for like over a year of gameplay back in the 2000s so why do modern controllers run out of battery so fast? Is technology literally evolving backwards now? Lol.

A decent modern controller still has around 8 hours of battery life, I don't see where the problem is. Just dock it when not in use, don't even need a cable.
