They should have a functionality where it hooks into your distro's repo and AUR and checks if it's available there It's a great concept and it should be transformed into a one stop shop for software
>>107698168Go back to windows you shitter. No wonder you use arch.
>>107698173>Arch bad but I also want software installation to be obtuse and require prescience
>>107698192Go back, winjeet shitter.
>>107698207Maybe try some constructive criticism instead of shitting yourself?Being able to have one application that taps into every single source of software would be much better than having to do that separately
>>107698237Maybe try not being a shitter. You arch trannies need to go back.
>>107698268Maybe stop being a retard? Do you even speak English? I've never said I can't browse and download shit off my repos or AURThere's objectively no reason that bazaar shouldn't be able to be an all in one that only serves you flatpaks if nothing else is available
>>107698082That's not Guix
>>107698308>That's not GuixThat'd be a great name for an operating system.

>>107698313Keep crying, maybe you'll arrive at a counterargument sometime instead of this buzzword spamDo you think you deserve a trophy for using Gentoo?
>>107698328>Noooo don't make fun of my gender. I'm a real femboy!!!!!!
>>107698336What distro could you possibly be on to have a stick wedged this firmly up your ass?Do you think browsing the repo makes you an elite hacker or something when it's the same process as bazaar?
>>107698365Of course a tranny things about stuff going up people's asses. Try not to touch any little kids this week.
>>107698380You're too fucking stupid to even try to argue your caseAre you some Microsoft shill sent to make Linux people look bad?
>>107698389I really like you, girl. But I hate the AUR... I don't want 1 stop for applications.>Microjeet WinshitCheck the store, if the app isn't there, hunt the .exe or winget.>CrappleIf the app isn't in the store, hunt the .dmg or use brew.>LoonixIf the app isn't in the store use your package manager or hunt the .appimage.
>>107698389>>107698389Btw, NTA, baby. And I wanted to mention: Build from source, but thats always the last option.
>>107698418What could possibly be the benefit of having to search multiple places when you could have one that queries them all at once and lets you pick the source
>>107698452I mean in a dream world, every software would be packaged in one repo, but I'm a hardcore flatpak faggot and I go flatpak first, if my app isn't available, I'll go for my package manager.>archie chanyou can just use your paru/yay :3Linux Mint already displays Fatpaks and deb package manager software in one store, just like ubuntu, fedora etc.
>>107698489Yes, that's what I'd want, for bazaar to be a universal software browser and then there would be a button that says download from arch repo that pops out a terminal with the command to install it pre typed
>>107698510sounds good, baby
>>107698320Actually this is false, plain lie for most apps.Seems like a disingenous website.Sorry chud but KDE+flatpak discover IS the future of linux. No more fragmentation
>>107698082Usecase for choking on your spit, you drooling retard?
>>107698082now I can keep using GIMP 3.0.4 and Minetest from 2020 forever thanks to Flatpak's backward compatibility. Just make sure to rename the folder
>>107698082oh, sorry guys! it's me, OP!I meant to post THIS image!I suck huge cocks!
I don't get the appeal after using it and discover, just feels like installing stuff from the terminal but with GUI stuff which I get if you're a normalGOD and don't wanna fuck with a terminal but copy pasting commands feels super snappy and it way more convenient than having to download a zip, extracting the zip, running the installer, going through the wizard, then opening the program
Snaps ask for missing permissions and run like normal programsFlatpaks just break or do nothing when a permission is missing and require aliases to run.Snaps won.
>>107698608Flatseal can easily manage this anyways
>>107699240Just use "warehouse"thank me later
>>107699315snaps take up a stupid amount of storage space. idk if flatpak is any better, I've never tried it, but fuck snaps.
>>107699439>snaps take up a stupid amount of storage space. Are you going to substantiate this or should I just dismiss it.
>>107699565If you have any idea how snaps actually work, you wouldn't need to have it substantiated. And if you don't know how they work, you shouldn't be arguing in a package container thread in the first place. So either way, you're in the wrong.
>>107699588I'm well aware of how they work, I know why they are larger, I want you to substantiate what 'stupid' is with comparisons. You also just randomly throw out a 'fuck snaps' without justification because it's the cool thing to do.
