I don't "hate" them. I simply learn to judge my tools appropriately, because I let my prefrontal cortex do my thinking rather than my amygdala.Moreover one must be wise to how these tools are going to be perceived and utilized by the rest of society, as nothing exists in a vacuum.It reminds me of the problem of "Vulcans" in the TV show Star Trek. They're painted as the ultimate logical race, but they're continually baffled and astounded by simple actions taken by "irrational" emotional humans. It's a case of the writers not being intelligent enough to write something more intelligent than they. If the Vulcans were truly guided by logic and observation, they would realize quite easily that humans were creatures prone to emotional reactions and not-really-unpredictable actions dictated by their emotional states and value systems, and come to expect it.So too ought one who "hates" clankers understand that he's soon to be living in a world of clankers whether he likes to or not, so he'd be well advised to begin developing a set of mechanisms to cope with this reality.
