TUX FISHERS RISE UP
>>107710195>shows inferiorly low numbers>"look, everyone is migrating to troonix"
Pretty wild so many people rely on an unofficial version of chrome with compromised flatpak sandboxing.
>>107710195soul
>>107710248soon..
>>107710271Day of reckoning is inevitable someday for flattroons.
>>107710316The moment SteamOS releases is the moment it spikes and keeps going.
>>107710505The real game changer will be major online game companies removing the embargo on linux. The average gamer doesn't give a shit about freedom. He just wants his game to run and it's a deal breaker if that game happens to be something on this list https://areweanticheatyet.com/
>>107710195More than half of vidya I installed on Heroic launcher on Fedora required some research and elbow grease to get working. It’s impressive how much better things are now than in 2020, but things went from outright unusable to "ok if you put in a bunch of effort and never play a dx12 game that needs decent hardware". 1% lows are abysmal, framegen doesn’t work, dlss doesn’t work half the time, it’s impossible to overclock your gpu (best you can do is power limit). Forget anything online, too, because anticheat doesn’t work and online games without anticheat are unplayable unless tou can make your own server like minecraft or fagtorioI spent so much time fighting linux in the last few months it’s unreal, I’m halfway through allaku akbaring whoever keeps pushing the endless spyware and ads onto winblows for forcing me on this janky garbage of an OS
>>107710271There is nothing wild about it if you think about how 90% of people use a compromised operating system that spies on you and also 90% of people use a compromised browser made by an advertisement company that also spies on you. People love being spied on it's like they have a fetish or something.
>>107710222YEAR OF THE LINUX DESKTOP
>>107710195doesn't this coincide with the release and growth of atomic distros like bazzite.so wouldn't this be just from people going from one distro with distro managed packages to another that uses flatpaks.
>>107710195imagine switching to Linux and then using Jewgle Chrome
>>107710195A few days ago, I had some free time and decided to revisit an old favorite from my teenage years: GTA San Andreas. I figured that a game from 2004 would run perfectly on Linux via Proton, so I installed Steam through Flatpak and gave it a shot. Instead, I ended up spending the entire fucking evening messing with different Proton versions and launch options, trying to get it to work. In the end, I couldn't even play it since it crashed right after the loading screen. A GAME FROM FUCKING 2004! This is the state of this joke of an operating system. Nobody will ever use it, no matter how bad macOS or Windows becomes.
>>107710796let me guess, you were trying to use a 64bit prefix to run a 20 year old game?
>>107710796GTA SA is one of the best supported games on Linux so your post is a bad bait, could've said GTA online which added a malware rootkit recently but you went for the game that is actually supported
>>107710854I don't know and I don't fucking care. On Windows I can just install it and play without any issues. Even on macOS, with Parallels, I can run Windows programs with nearly-native performance with its tinkerless acceleration layer. >>107710868Behold the Linux user answer to any kind of criticism: "bad bait" or "skill issue".
>>107710796It's really not that hard anon, just go for proton 9 or 10 and 99% of the shit will work.If not just check protondb and they'll straight up tell you what to use.
it's funny how discord gayming/nerd/groomer chat ate the lunch of all the spyware negroid corporate chattos:>whatsapp>telegram>facebook messenger>matrix>slack>signal
