I've been on the hunt for similar looking desktops

it seems to have its visual roots in 80s computer interfaces, but with a clean black and white color palette

It’s trying to look like Mac OS System 6. Thought that was obvious
>>
>>107725242
Ive never seen Mac OS System 6

Bitlocker killed my windows, so looks like I'm going Debian Testing + KDE for now

Linux gaming is a lot better than it was ~10 years ago thanks to proton
>>
happy new year

load times are often faster on linux and some games even get better fps. dxvk has more runtime options than directx. i love gaming on linux. my only complaint is the original total war: shogun doesn't run reliably on wine or proton.

The dialogue is wordy, I'm really in it for the fighting system. Reminds me of Wario World but with weapons

I used TWM with Slackware for years. I really liked the ability to customize the window title bars and minimized icons according to window name or class. having different color bars and icons for different applications was useful. I like the window list app more than panels also. The only thing I didn't like was the alt-tab behavior.
