Finally moving on from my iPhone SE 1st gen. Going Android. Are there any decent phones out there that aren't FUCKING HUGE? i.e. 5" or less.

They got an extra inch for the screen by taking the bezels out so older phones might not be physically that much smaller. I had the first generation Galaxy Note which had a 5.3" screen, my current phone Pixel 9a is a little bit taller but actually not as wide and it still has a 6.3" screen. It's not an inch larger device physically than the Note. So also check the physical dimensions to see where your limit is.

Basically no options. Bezels are dead and everything is 6" or more. If you do nothing on your phone, S6 or S7 are still perfectly fine on Nougat and Oreo but Samsung phones lose VoLTE on custom ROMs so that might be a problem for you if you wanted to flash a newer Android version. XZ2 compact is a decent choice as well.

There's also the s10e, Pixel 3/3a, and 4a. All quite small with the Pixels having good Lineage support
