>Tesla's self driving is a mem...
Why does AI struggle to generate clean text?
>>107728884ai shlorp
>>107728884>what could possibly go wrong...
>>107728895There's a number of details it just loses track of
>>107728884That's an AI generated video and the aerodynamics of that would destroy the TV mount
>>107728884and the screen folds down (to avoid damage) when you rear-end a white truck trailer the autopilot cameras failed to recognize, I like it.
>>107728884ai kino
>>107728895it doesn't see it as text, just pixels which may or may not fit into its surroundingsjust like aislop video generators have to concept of gravity, friction or inertia. it always looks off.aren't you happy new computer hardware prices tripled for this?
I thought that was the point of self driving cars in the first place. Too bad I would get car sick
>>107729044I get car sickness almost always. The only time I don't have it is when I'm the one driving.
>>107728895Pesky humans, always focusing on some meaningless detail.
>>107728895fact is none of the details in the image are any better, it's just that you're trained to be very particular about specific details, like faces and text. that license plate looks fine if you consider it's intended to be "an indistinct license plate", like it looks like a license plate. the resolution isn't very good either. if you generate a closer image of a license plate modern models can make one with legible text on it. well-made ai images will "in-paint" details like this, i.e. generated them separately in higher resolution, to touch up such small details
>>107728895imagine going back in time to 1985 or so and talking to a computer enthusiast, and when he asks what the biggest achievement in comouting during the last 40 years was, you say "we've created a better auto-complete algorithm. But it makes a lot of mistakes."
I'm not sure the world can handle Amerilards growing even fatter.
>>107729154do you think manual driving is keeping them slimmer or something?
>>107728895>>107728884The road markings in the mirror aren't even at regular intervals.
>>107728895Some models do a lot better than others. It depends if it's trained a lot on text or not. You're always limited by VRAM so you can't fit a model that's good at everything. If they used a model that rendered the license plate better something else would look worse, it's a compromise.
>>107729187You don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about
>>107729154>>107729169We need self driving cars but but exercise bikes instead of seats and you can only use the overtake lane if you peddle hard enough.
>>107729198Why the fuck would I care about the overtake lane in a fully self-driving car?
>>107729193I have a MSc in AI.
>>107728895Same reason it will drain every resource we have without much improvement. O(n2)
>>107729198why are Amerimutts or ESLs (or whatever) incapable of understanding the difference between "pedal" and "peddle"
>>107729205good morning saar.
>>107728884WTF how is this legal
>>107728884me in the trunk
>>107728884Wtf is this real?
>>107728884cortisol maxinghope he has money on the game
